Greetings! As I said, I have two questions:
1. "The Wall" (from Winds of Winter) reads: "If it is Winter, your Baratheon characters gain the Night's Watch trait and do not kneel to defend."
The kingdom card "The Gift" from the Clash of Arms cycle reads: "Marshalling: Kneel The Gift to reduce the cost of the next Night's Watch character you play this phase by 1. Then, if there is an Epic Battle card next to your plot deck, draw a card. "
So if it is winter, can I kneel The Gift to reduce the cost of the next Baratheon character I play by 1, because all my Baratheon characters have gained the Night's Watch trait? Or does the static ability of The Wall only affect cards in play?
2. Somebody told me this once, a long time ago, and I just want to confirm that it's true. I was told that you can select the same character for the effects of "Deadly" and the effects of military claim. Is this only true if a single character is defending, and is selected for claim (since claim resolves before Deadly, hence, there is no legal target for claim)? Or if I defend against a military challenge with a claim of 1 using two characters, and lose, I can select one of them for claim AND deadly?
Thanks!
