Mutation Cards

Thanks for this; I was really curious what was in the box. Mutations cards huh...sounds interesting. And it's cool they added more career cards. I wasn't really expecting that.

Warpstone corrupts? but adds [yellow] [yellow] to spellcast checks!

I just opened the FFG:EC demo copy of the game and went through it. I am already in love with druid like abilities... Morphing into a Raven or Wolf or Bear? Awesome!

Anything about elf wizards?

Tarnis Phoenix - how do you know all this? And what it's FFG:EC demo?

That content looks great, I just wish it would be sooner avaliable in Europe than at the end of July.

Yeah, same here.

My FLGS doesn't have it in the offer yet (even on pre-order), and country distributor release date is "july/august" llorando.gif.

I feel like someone closed the candy shop just before I could buy my favored candy, and my stomack yells, he wants the candy now...

EDIT: Well, maybe it won't be so bad, just got some news that the release date will probably change to "june/july" babeo.gifgran_risa.gif exited

Navigator

Isn't that a sea-going career? We don't even have a Seaman/Sailor yet. We also still need a Pilot, Mate and Sea Captain. And Marine.

Charlatan

Woo! My favourite WFRP career. One of the few careers that works reasonable well as an adventuring career.

Wizard

That's it? Just "Wizard"? No different kinds of wizards, hedge wizards, seers, and other kind of non-standard magic users? I expected a bit more there, considering this is supposed to be a magic supplement.

It finishes off the first 2 levels of the missing College of Magic Orders, as well (I believe, but I could be wrong) giving the 3rd rank for all of them too.

Who needs hedge wizards or witches or anything like that? This has a *lot* of magic stuff in it, so it is definitely a magic supplement. It might not be an 'alternate' magic career supplement, but it is a hefty magic supplement.

It's the Rank 1 and 2 spells and career cards for the other 5 Color Colleges along with the 3rd tier career for the Colleges that extends the career path for Apprentice/Acolyte, along with all the Rank 3 spells for all 8 Colleges. Anything else, along with the 4th tier College career (and spells) will have to wait for a later supplement.

Can anyone tell me, how many spells per college does it contain?

And how many pages is the book...

Hell, how much of anything is in this box??

I have to wait a week or two more, so throw me some bones at least lengua.gif

Fantasy Flight Games Event Center... The Demo copy is the version of the game that we get to play but its the store copy. I may go back later and give better details... this was just my excitement in less than 10 minutes of looking before I had to leave.

Haven't seen any 3rd level spells

It's for sale in Toronto now (plus side of G20 mess, got sent home early from work to avoid protests etc., visited game store and scored this).

Magic book gives the typical progression from Apprentice (Rank 1) to Acolyte (Rank 2) to Wizard (Rank 3) to Master Wizard or Battle Lord (Rank 4) to Wizard Lord (Rank 5) (with Patriarch as head of college but still Wizard Lord in power).

Spell cards in this box support up to Rank 3

LIght Order as example:, 7 Rank 1, 3 Rank 2, 3 Rank 3

Another set of basic spell action cards and a Quickcasting card.

I just take a quick look at Alliance Distribution's website, it just added the following as today's new release for Fantasy flight game.

FFG BL12 Battlelore: Horrific Horde Goblin Army Pack $39.95
FFG BW01 Battlelore: Battles Of Westeros $79.95
FFG WHC09 Warhammer Invasion: The Burning Of Derricksburg Battle Pack $14.95
FFG WHF06 Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Winds Of Magic $49.95

So, we probably will see Winde of Magic next week in the stores.

As far as I know 3rd and higher level spells are included. There should be two books (for player - Mages and for GM - with Chaos). Lots of cards - spells, location and new careers. Now I'm really witing for this one.

But I'm suprised there is only one advance career for mages.

Oh and my FLGS told me that in Europe in should be about 15th July if everything goes right. Becouse it will be two or three weeks after it will be avaliable in US.

For some reason I have a feeling that that event center copy didn't have everything in it, I don't have anything to base this assumption on except for gut feeling.

Tarnis Phoenix said it was a demo version of the product so it could not have everything but who knows..

Does anyone know how many mutations are in the winds of magic? Are the mutations any good?

This was not even a ten minute glance through... I could've stayed there and posted the entire list of contents, but sadly I had to go to dodgeball practice.

Demo copy is a full copy of the game but its available to the public to use and play. They have a copy or two of every single game they make, available for members of the event center to check out for free and play at the store.

Sorry if you I'm asking too many questions but I just wanted a few things answered because I'm really excited about getting my pre-order copy. gran_risa.gif

1. Have you seen anything about High Elf magic in the box? Do high elves have their own spells or do at least have rules on how high magic works?

2. How are the new Bright Order spells? Are they all combat focused? I have a player that has a bright wizard character so I really want to know about the spells. I might want to know about Grey Order spells as well.

I am hoping (but not hopeful) for lab-based rules: potions, charms, imbuing items et al.

Heem, seems like it will be hitting our stores during the week, I'll have to keep an eye out.

I'll have to check the stores..although we're on hiatus until there is an acceptable number of advanced careers for the non-magic classes...
