Help me understand why Krazy Kraznys isn't banned or errata'd

Besides there is always multiplayer to consider.

And don't forget the older envioronments where things like "Things I do for love" which keep track of triggered effects... can you imagine using the 2 kraz's to increase the claim to infinity? (And yes I've raised someone's claim to 45 i think once... he supported me.)

OTOH, you should take this as an object lesson to not rely on attachments. If you think he's crazy... meerneese brothel just tells attachments to take a hike.

As a rule of thumb the only attachments worth having:

Milk of the Poppy (1 gold, you the opponent's next choice of claim... seriously i've seen people kill off a 4 str character because he's been milked).

Flame-Kissed (more of an event).

Support for Harlaw

Taste of Blood

Bodyguard (really only Bara)

Frozen Solid

Venomous Blade

The Ravens.

Motley

Don't bother with anything else and for non targ decks include only 3 attachments, 6 if its a seasonal deck. Targ is an exception due to recursion and other attachment related benefits, but that is their schtick. Because of that you can get all sorts of funky effects going with tears of lys recursively giving you cards, or rhaegar's harp and the carrion birds.

i would like to expand bloodycelts list a little bit:

rusted sword

war horn

icy catapult

sometimes you find Ice and Lightbringer in a deck.

but generally i agree: dont put too many attachemtns into a deck. its not only that there is a lot of attachment hate, also the investment is often too much, cause when the character is gone, the attachment is as well.

a player in my group once stated, that only attachments with negative effects on my opponent are worth playing. guess there is a little bit truth in it.

but then: we are talking about optimized tourney decks here! if you are meeting for a nice game with some friends, playing attachments is just fine, cause the can adda lott of flavour to the game bookwise.

Actually, with so little attachment hate in the environment right now, I find that attachments are usually a pretty good investment. Kill Kraznys and the "problem" goes away. Like anything else, just don't over extend.
