Card of the Week

The new card of the week is up and its....epic! You can find it here . I agree that it isn't very practical, but does still look like a fun card. Imagine this in multiplayer! Go last and then lay him out and use make an example! There were some other ideas tossed around in the other thread, but what I thought was cool was the bonus question. What is your favorite expensive splashy card- the one card that you hope will make your opponent's jaw drop when you play it.

For me I'd have to say its actually a combination of six cards. I recently created a baratheon deck that was running all six The North agendas, and everyone I played against just couldn't believe that I was running all six. As to the expensive part, 27 power is very very very hard to get. lol It was pretty fun getting to play A Wildling Horde and Defenders of the North for free in the same turn though.

So what are some of your favorite splashy cards?

My favorite expensive card (not sure how splashy it is) is The Viper's Bannermen. It just always gives me what I want as long as I can marshal it - draw, a good defender, a good attacker, and if my opponent happens to deal with it more draw : )

Anyone else feel like you should claim 3+ power when you play Balerion. You're commanding a full grown freaking dragon. There's historical precedent for this feat leading to the conquest of Westeros.

You know, so what if you can't use his ability in combination with Varimy Sixskins. Switching out a simple character for this guy is totally worth it.

One of my favorite cards to play was Grey Worm's Strongest. That was an awesome burn card, and when you could play Fire and Blood and return him back to your hand (and hopefully use him twice in the same round) totally rocked. Pretty much all the Song of Winter 7str armies were amazing.

But my favorite power card was WED Red Viper. I built decks around him, and even won a 3 player game during the first challenge of the second round with him. And my first Doomed Viper's Followers deck was the first deck I ever played that beat Nate in two years of playing him.
