Deathwatch Video and Final Sanction Now Available

By FFG Ross Watson, in Deathwatch

Gotta say, that video for Deathwatch was very well done. I didn't expect it to actually get me excited for the game, but here I am, hoping August gets here fast.

Beautiful stuff. Very pretty and looking forward to its August release.

But I do have one question, Ross.

Why is the PDF so bloody large? For a 32 page booklet, I would have expected a smaller file size than 67MB. My copy of Rogue Trader I purchased from DriveThruRPG is about 97MB and is more then twelve times the page count.

Check the Support page for Deathwatch. There is a 2.8MB web version of Final Sanction.

Loved the video and downloaded Final Sanction. It was interesting to see Alan Merrett having such a big role in the video since neither the local Games Workshop stores nor their website provide any support for the work both Black Library and FFG have done with the intellectual property. I can only hope this is a good sign and GW sees the outstanding work FFG has put into giving new life to the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

That's more like it. I wonder why there's so much data bloat in the DriveThru version. Changing that out now.

Sadly those news articles are coming up with errors for me. Quite a few of them did in the past too.

I'm using FF 3.6.3

"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'v_tabla_noticias(...)'

/edge_asp/edge_noticias.asp, line 419"

Why don't GW suppost these products in their stores? Is it simply because they're made by FFG?

Anyone else experiencing the viewing errors can also find the video here:

Because, with other products, many stores refused to stock them if GW was stocking them, because most people would go to GW before their FLGS. It's been like that forever, and it's not going to change any time soon.

But yea, generally GW stores only stock GW products. The RPGs aren't GW products, so they don't get stocked.
