I have a Questions on the number of hits that Full and Semi auto can gain.

For our example we will use Bolter its ROF is S/2/4

Lets say that our Marine is shooting Full Auto and gains 4 degrees of success.

The questions I have are:

1: How many times does he hit.

5 times

1 For the Normal Hit

4 for the number of Extra Hits based off his degree's of success

or

4 times

1 for the normal hit

3 for the extra hits but reduced to not exced the Max ROF for a Bolter.

I ask this b/c the rules stat that "The number of Extra Hits scored in this manor cannot exceed the weapon's fully automatic Rate of Fire" (emphasis mine)

Also how much ammo is expended (4 or 5)?

I'm pretty sure about this next question. Regarding the Devastators Unrelenting Devastation Special Rule he will score 1 additional wound for each degree off success he scores with a heavy bolther.

Ex. Devastator full auto fires and get 10 degrees of success he will do 20 points of damage to the horde's magnitude.

It may help to think of singleshot as having a rate of fire of 1.

Other than that, yes, you can only have as many hits in total as RoF and you always expend exactly that much ammo.
