Rule Qs musings

By JayDe, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

1. Corrupted units can still activate actions etc - im sure. But my friends seem shocked when i sacrifice the slayers of karak kadrin after they corrupt to get a clearer attack.

2. Twin-Tailed comet can be played after a card like chillwind, but not 'in response' to it, to reverse the effects?

3. actions with the text 'corresponding zone' can eventually affect the same zone a unit (think festering nurglings) exists in? I don't think this should happen - it defeats the definition of 'corresponding', but i bet you're all going to scream me out ;) .

4. actions llike paying to return units to hands, sacrifice them (like lobba crew or rok lobba or assorted chaos/DE tactics, slayers of Karak Kadrin!) can occur after damage is assigned, but before it's applies. I think this is in fact very effective if a unit is going to die anyway, but ill bet its to the chagrin of the other player.

[5. What's DB_Cooper's new account since that got destroyed after (trying to) spoiling Derricksburg?]

#1: Unless it's an ability that requires you to corrupt the unit (many Skaven). Otherwise it's all good.

#2: TTC can be played in response, in which case your Chillwind would kick in first, then opponents (probably not idea for your purposes). But against Cacophonic Scream for example, dropping 2x TTC in response means you slap opponent's capital with 8+8 dmg before your capital takes 8 dmg.

#3: Corresponding zone is each player's said zone. So if you play Nurglings to your KZ, a unit in any KZ can be the target.

#4: Yes, in combat. With non-combat damage effects, there is no action window between assignment and applying damage.

#5: Looks like DB.Cooper. Yeah, he's very unoriginal gran_risa.gif !
