i need more time to see them all, but at first sight I think warrior maiden is really overpowered..assume she draws a sword of light: + 4 str +2 craft. that's too much for me, even because she has not negative abilities, only good ones. of course, IMO.

The warrior madien only gets double in battle not psychic combat. So if she is lucky enough to get a good weapon then good for her :). Its no different to the Assassin or Warrior really, I mean she still HAS TO GET A GOOD WEAPON :).

Nice characters they all look brilliant to play, nice to see some great new variations, good job mate.

Where is this Sword of Light found...I'm not recalling seeing it? There is also a spell that adds 1 strength permanently to the weapon that it is cast upon as well; This Sword of Light would give her +6 then...lots of if's involved though. Does the sword give a craft bonus as well?

You show many interesting ideas, but the characters are way too unbalanced in relation to each other. Some of them are ridiculously weak in certain aspects, such as stats (Hungry Goblin) or abilities (Lizardman), and frankly, I dont think their abilities or stats will in these cases make up for the fact that they are so weak in these aspects. On the other hand, some are far, far too powerful. The Wandering Giant have some very nice stats and abilities that would need more of a downside to balance, and the Skaven and Warrior Maiden too. And then you have way too punitive drawbacks, such as the Beggar's. I do not think it's a good idea to not let a character collect gold, it's far too important to be excluded from.

But some characters are indeed very interesting. My personal favourite has to be the Master Imp. Interesting abilities, but he does suffer from a lack of stats. I think that you should up his Craft by +1, in addition to making him neutral, as imps in folklore are mischievous, but not necessarily evil.

Oh, and one last criticism. You should perhaps tone down the number of abilities that are dependent on specific adventure cards and the like. I've never really liked them, and I think some others will agree with me.

And this is just nitpicking, but you should also make sure that your grammar and spelling is correct. It makes it more "presentable".

New Mimic. Needed some work.

Here's my suggestions in regards to the most recent characters.

Tribal Shaman

My only issue is the fact that her interruption ability costs fate to use. Make it 'free' but limit it to one use per turn.

Skaven

On second thoughts, I think he's generally fine. But take away the ability to ignore the Siren, as I believe it was decided that the Siren should be able to affect all characters, whether human or not. But perhaps you have a good reason to include it?

Practicing Lich

She's fine, but I wonder why her Craft value is only 3?

Master Imp

This version is good, but I still wonder why his Craft value is only 3?

Lizardman

Reword his abilities in this way: "You may never pray. Ignore any rules which allow you to do so." and "Characters may not attack you in psychic combat.".

Young Dryad

I think I actually liked her previous version better, with her teleporting shenanigans and the like. I don't like the fact that she has to pay fate to use her evasion ability. Make it like the Elf's ability, but perhaps you should lower her starting fate to 3?

Beggar

You should increase his Strength and Craft values to 3 each, I think. And I don't see why he wouldn't be able to have any followers, but I like how you let him have gold while still remaining poor! But you should add " If at any time the other character with the most gold on the board has less gold than you, you must discard enough gold to reach the same amount as him.".

Warrior of Chaos

He's good. My only problem is the Armour related ability; it doesn't make any sense! I think he would be fine without it.

Warrior Maiden

Still too good. Why isn't she affected by the Hag's curse or the Torture Chamber? She doesn't need those abilities, and they only clutter the card. I also suggest you reduce her starting fate to 3 or maybe 2.

Wandering Giant

He's fine now. Next!

Rebellious Vampire

I don't like this character at all. I think it would be best if you just removed him.

Righteous Avenger

I don't really like her. She reminds me too much of both the Warrior of Chaos and the Dark Cultist, but I have no issues with this version if you should choose to keep her.

Hungry Goblin

Increase his starting life to 4. I think it's agreed that a character's starting life should never go below 4.

Jawa Scavenger Team

I love these! They're awesome, but I still think that the starting life should not go below 4. Perhaps you also could reduce their starting fate to 4?

Ah! Mimic!

I still don't like it. I don't see why it should even be a character. I don't think a mimic would ever be considered character material, at least not an official one.

Nothing wrong with a character starting with 3 life, 6 Craft or 6 fate ;-)

It's a bad idea to make characters start with less than 4 life since they may die much quicker. It's a bad idea to make a character have a Craft value of 6, because then they'll be able to have 3 spells from the very start. As for fate, I think they're used as counter-balance to abilities, so that a character with weak abilities will start with lots of fate and vice versa, so provided a character has weak enough abilities I might agree with you on 6 starting fate.

Tribal Shaman

No her interruption ability has to say the same. Its quite potent.

Skaven

The ignore the Siren was in the first version. As you said maybe I should that.

Practicing Lich

Er... Because shes PRACTICING?

Master Imp

Because the Master Imp does not warant the extra craft.

Lizardman

Good idea. Will do.

Young Dryad

No her Craft has to remain the same. And her move to from any woods to a forest was way to powerful.

Beggar

No the Begger will remain on 2 craft and strength each. And no followers is needed because the loiter ability is again quite powerful. I prefer the way the gold is worded now.

Warrior of Chaos

Hehehe NO. He's armour ability is very good.

Warrior Maiden

No.. She is just fine. The Hag's curse or the Torture Chamber are fluffy abilities and do not clutter anything. Her fate is just fine.

Wandering Giant

HOOOYAY!!

Rebellious Vampire

I like him! Oh well, cant please them all :)

Righteous Avenger

Why YES! She is a good version of those characters. ObviousI would of thought.

Hungry Goblin

No.. The Hungry Goblin needs 3. it fits and his gaining life abilities make up for it.
