Hello all,
I'm a newbie at AGOT and therefore a few questions arose. Some may be very basic, but it would be nice to have them clearified.
1. "lower cost of next char by 2" on a location: is it immediately useable in the same round as I played it in my marhalling phase?
2. After a successful combat challenge, are the characters killed immediatly or after all challenge phases of all players?
3. If the opponent controls one of my characters and then kills it(e.g. result of a lost military challenge), does it go to my dead or my discard pile?
4. Are uses of "Response"-effects mandatory or optional?
5. One Stark character (I think its Arya Stark) has the ability(recapped from memory, sorry for mistakes): "Challenge: Kneel one influence and steal stealth or reknown from an opponent char". How do I time this ability? I think I can use it on the opponents challenge phase, but do if have to use it right away on the beginning of his turn or can I use it right after he announces an attack and wants / has choosen a character for his stealth ability?
6. "Nymeria" is an attachement, which has to be kneeled to save the character it is attached to. Are both (the attachement and the character) kneeled separately or do I have to kneel them together as one unit?
7. If a character has a strength of "0", is it still able to attack(the attack wont succeed, but maybe for some other effects)?
8. Plot card "Snowed Under" says "choose one kneeling char or location controlled by each player". First of all: Can the targets be different ones(my location + the opponents char)? What if I have no kneeling char/location? Does this effect does not count at all(no usage on the opponents side)?
9. Plot card "Valar Morghulis" says "when revealed, kill all characters in play". Can I use "Ghost"(Response: Kneel Ghost to save a Night's Watch character from being killed or discarded from play.) to save a Night Watch char of mine or does Ghost is killed before he can response?
I think thats enough questions for now. AGoT is a great game and it should be played more!
