So I saw the November article about ship cost increases and decreases. But I didn’t see an actual list or link to a list. How do I find out current point costs for all ships and crew? What’s the most up to date place to look?

im just coming back to the game (haven’t played since 1.0) and want to figure out wheres the best place to start for all information I might need.

The 2.0 product page contains PDFs for each faction as well as generic upgrades. Additionally YASB 2.0 & LBN are usually updated with the newest points within a few hours of release.

then there's the official squad builder, which is ok i guess (what i mean is, i don't recommend it), but there are a lot of things that are not consistent with the points lists and squad building rules, including what upgrades some ships can equip and the availability of certain upgrades in the hyperspace format:
