I’m confused on the Anti-Squadron range of ships.

The Declare Target step of Attack says squadrons must be at distance 1 to attack.

However, the Range section says range is determined by the color of the dice in the pool.

so, I was watching a video about the Quasar claiming it was great for anti-squadron because of the range of the red dice.

so, what determines range I can flak at squadrons?

"Squadrons" must be at distance 1 to attack ships.

Ships can attack all squadrons within a hullzones firing arc and within range of whatever die color they have. Not taking into account obstruction or other card effects that can add or change dice.

Black / Blue / Red for close, Blue / Red for medium, Red for long.
