Your top 5 40K related New Years Resolutions

By Peacekeeper_b, in Dark Heresy

A bit early I know, but I thought it might be fun.

Top 5 things to do in 2009 with 40K/Dark Heresy New Years Resolutions for Peacekeeper B

1. Get Disciples of the Dark Gods (Dear God Emperor, let the mail of the righteous bring this to me today, before blood shall fall for the blood god)

2. Read Horus Heresy, all of them.

3. Run a new Dark Heresy Campaign, with less Tech Heresy this time.

4. Actually finish a adenture write up/scenario for one of the many adventure competitions hosted by FFG or Dark Reign

5. Not freak out when my copy of Creatures Anathema, Rogue Trader or any other FFG 40KRPG release doesnt arrive in quick, simple, easy manner.

Sure, the idea is quite fun!

Well, well, to me it will be:

1 - Achieve the translation of some articles about DH and handouts for a french fan's website.

2 - Create my own character sheet.

3 - End the reading of the first adventure from PTI (It could be some help if I want to run my players into it...)

4 - Not be impatient to get a copy of Rogue trader (not yet, not yet...but soon, i hope!)

5 - Get the last two books of the Ravenor trilogy

Seems fun...

1. Finish what I'm working on!

2. Manage to get everyone together to play another session... (There just isn't that much time... damned A levels!)

3. Re-read Eisenhorn and Ravoner again.

4.Finish painting my land raider! (Two years its taking...)

5. Finish reading IH and PTU.

I may need a few more of them... lol.

1) Finish at least half my WiP supplements

2) Get them hard-bound

3) Improve my painting

4) Finish both my true 54mm Inquisitor warbands

5) Re-read through IH and DotDG

1.> Finish painting whatever miniatures I have laying about the house (including the accursed orks) before I purchase any more of them.

2.> Finally get the DH supplements on my flash drive printed at Staples.

3.> Convert one of my D&D only friends to the Cult of the Emperor... or scourge him, you know, which ever takes less time.

4.> Agree to GM some DH sessions at the local game store.

5.> Be more patient while waiting for future 40K rpg releases.

Here we go...

  1. Run The House of Ash and Dust for the gang on New Year's Day.
  2. Relaunch DH after we finish up the last Shadowrun adventure on our plate.
  3. Finish my Waaagh Git-toof orks before the Stompa arrives in April.
  4. Finish my Blood Ravens before the Shadowsword arrives with that Stompa.
  5. Get Creatures Anathema before Peacekeeper_b just to keep up appearances. :)

Mine too! No more minis until I finish painting the ones I have!

2. Finish reading the rulebook and at least 2 warhammer books during the holiday.

3. Find a live DH game somewhere......

4. Get the Creature book as soon as it is released

5. Keep my online DH game going strong!

1. Run a Dark Heresy adventure.

2. Stop purchasing so many 40k miniatures. I need to save more so I can travel overseas again.

Thank the Emperor I wasnt drinking milk when I read this. LOL.

Lets get into the fray with this one :). I’m trying to get 10 of them, lets see if it works.

1) Post more on the forums instead of just lurking.

2) Try and find some more English speakers where I live to play with so I might get to actually try and be a player for once (I haven't even gotten to try it out yet).

3) Less creepy demons that gives my significant other (she plays as well) nightmares and have her up all night when I need to be at work the next day, I'm getting bleary eyed here. Maybe tech-heresy is the way to go? Or just not play when I have to earn a living the next day?

4) Start drawing again, my leet map skills are gone. Horror!

5) Run games at my local gaming store now that we finally have one. I love their optimism, bless them. Bought DotG from them at over price, support your local FLGS (Shame on you amazon people :P).

6) Convert minis for all of my players, paint them and maybe even do some art.

7) Buy Rogue Trader, Anathema and the rest of the DH book without breaking the household budget. For some reason the aforementioned female is not a fan of eating oatmeal for a month because I wanted 3,4,5....10 books and a handful of blisters, never do that again I will.

8) Break the 7th resolution more than twice and get away with it.

9) Find the old copies of White Dwarf that had Confrontation in it, we need more Arbiter artwork and the pages with those where awesome... Anyone know where to get the art?

10) Actually prepare fully for a session instead of just improving my way through it, just once...

Hmm, let me see...

1) Actually USE the £5000 log cabin I built for the purpose of gaming!

2) Finish some of the myriad of figures I have lying arround.

3) Play Apocolypse (got it last year, not played it yet!)

4) Finish of some of the Hand Casting I'm working on (really must get the Inquisitorial Stoprmtrooper conversion I'm working on done so I can finish off the wifes Witch hunters!)

5) Convince someone else to run a game so I can actually play myself! (that would be sweet!)

Not enough time and too much life to fit into it! happy.gif

Peackeeper, that's actually a plan over Christmas, get some friends over, fire up the coffee machine and just stick stuff together and paint stuff we all got for Christmas in the cabin gui%C3%B1o.gif

Besides I EARNED that cabin, been a gamer for the last 20 years (and the wife as well) so now I'm 35 I'm gonna enjoy it!!!

Mind you one of the reasons I don't get into the cabin much is we spend most Sundays in Warhammer World drinking latte and eating their fabulous cheese cake (and avoiding our kids!) gran_risa.gif

1. Get the SotI website back up!

2. Paint my remaining Chaos Marines

3. Maybe buy myself a Tyranid swarm :3

4. Play more 40k!

5. Actually beat my fiancee's Necron army!

Start playing it again! Took a few months off looking for a new job, just found one, time to get back to bolt gunning!

1)Finish my adventure for the contest/con.

2)Finish reading the latest DH book cover to cover. (been skipping around a lot)

3)Find a way to play DH online as my gaming group is now playing Rune Quest. (Yes we're old...)

4)Publish my NPCs on DR.

5)Review my additional weapons/gear, adjust for errata, clean up, and publish them online.

Plus:

6)Paint my BFG ships

7)Finish painting my Tau, and Orcs.

8)Find some Guard, and oher figures for my future games.

1. Actually get my conversion of "40k RPG" in a decent format and put it on Anargo (WiP), including the "Servants of the Imperium" fanpplement which draws together the various templates, lenses, and backround information to offer an alternative to Dark Heresy and its setting within Calixis. (Partially related to #4.)

2. Get more information on the Anargo "Explore" website rather than having it sit hidden on the forums.

3. Get my - our - act together on the Venturer sub-project of Anargo, which is basically to offer comletely floor plans for an Imperial ship that was built in the Golden/Dark Age of Technology, along with 3d artwork, RPG statistics of the ship, sub-vessels, crew from the two different periods, and so on.

4. Work on producing a template for my vision of "fanpplements," working either with the Anargo community or the Dark Reign community. (This is of course linked to the promise to become more familiar with much fo the software required!)

5. Produce an "epic camapign" for "40k RPG" and run it online, as well as "publishing" it through Anargo and/or Dark Reign (assuming that Anargo hasn't died by then!).

There the ones that most obviously spring to mind.

Kage

6) single-handedly eradicate the term "fanpplements" and any variations thereof from existence.

Slightly off topic but, I thought Kage should know, I at least, would rather have Anargo live (as it is now) than Dark Reign's well reign of darkness...

6) Do likewise for 'fluff'.
