Playing as a Geonosian is very buggy.

Insect species always have a very different way to look at Life and the galaxy. A lot of Nature versus Nurture obstacles to overcome for the GM.

Since we now know Geonosians hatch from eggs (Rebels), the Jedi would have needed to find the young Geonosian after it hatched. In the few years of being raised on its homeworld up to that point, it may have been irreversibly absorbed into a groupthink society. Just look at their Cunning, Willpower, and Presence scores and you can see what kind of "damage" that can do to an individual.

Maybe a lone Jedi saw the upcoming massacre of the Geonosians (again, Rebels) and saved enough of them and moved them to a previously unknown system to allow them to resettle. During that time, the Jedi could have come across a Force-sensitive child and asked to raise it to know the Force. Having saved their species, the Geonosians grudgingly accepted.

Having said all that, I'd go for Teacher specialization. Their species ability Industrious screams support class.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m GMing and was thinking of having a geoniasian mentor who failed to protect his queen who he thinks was the last one.
