I don't get the 'I don't do Facebook' thing. Especially FB groups - it's just another forum, only one much more accessible with better admin tools and community tools (I mean, scheduling events is built-in!) than most out there. So what if your grandparents use some other part of it? Who cares?
Discord is all but useless as a forum replacement, I'm definitely not bothering with that. But the 'not bothering with Discord' thing is because it can't do what is needed for a forum to maintain a community , not any position on the platform. It's just not for THIS kind of thing.

X-COM the Board Game, one of my favorite games, has 2 posts. One person saying "First Post!" and FFGEvans posting "The Forums Are Closing"
L5R: TCG, which is wildly popular and churning out content, has 78K posts.
The last post besides FFG Evan was 23 hours ago.
So yeah, I get it I guess.
To be fair, BoardGameGeek has quite a bit more community on most FFG games than the official FFG forums did.
And Facebook posts for Armada and X-Wing *DWARF* what is on FFG's site. It's just a bit of an anomaly what level of traffic Armada and X-Wing have. It's not even the majority of the community, but still surprisingly active.

I'd think so - it even has distinct sub-forums for rules questions, discussion of strategy, variants, etc.
MUCH easier to post images there, too. (Most of the images I use in my own posts, here, are just linked from BGG already)
Threads/posts able to be thumbed, as well, to see what the hottest content is. etc.
It's quite a suitable replacement.

So it is end. Thx for all community you get me. My emploee agreement forbid me of use of any social media. Forum was my only window for community. Many of you use FB, discord and other social media, I dont expect anyone will move to new game owner forum.

Likely all their web people have been identified as 'opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and serve our customers better'. I hope the people come out ok.
I hope a similar web forum picks up the role this page had. Facebook groups and discord are fine for what they do but id prefer this sort of format for discusion.
