How about you prove to me why that should have been the case? What does that narrative choice allow for in the story of Mandalorian and The Child? What makes that a good decision? You are making the extraordinary claim. You are the one required to present the extraordinary evidence.

En Grade! First of all I'm thinking from the overall Star Wars perspective, not just the Mando. Second, if Ahsoka had trained the Grogu and gotten close to both the kid and Mando it would have been a great twist. Third, I was thinking Gideon would kill her with the Darksaber, then BoKatan goes nuts and Mando eventually get's the Darksaber.

Considering her ties to the still (somewhat) missing Thrawn and Ezra, I’m not sure it does anything for the overall perspective besides shock value.
Her dying to Gideon might have worked (though would need to be handled carefully, considering the heavies she’s survived), but I don’t think it would have affected BoKatan that heavily. Bo already has plenty of reasons to hate Gideon, and the death of an ally wouldn’t necessarily push her over the edge. She can be brash, but always had control of herself.

All in all, I feel there’s enough to discuss in the what-ifs to get us to your end point of killing Ahsoka that starting there feels like a big leap.

Ahsoka is Filoni's favorite child. She's not going to die until he's gotten everything he thinks he can get out of her.

Hmmm..... Just gonna throw random facts: A. Limited series for the Ahsoka show B. They are hinting towards tying up the different shows presumably to finish the Ezra plot C.I'm in the dark kinda, what is Bo's relation with the Moff?

Not very convincing. That is worse than not convincing. It is lazy. You're still on, "I'd have liked to see that." You're not making a case that narratively it is a good idea.

Ahsoka is going to die. It might not be in the Mandalorian, but she's going to die. I'll guess it'll be a sacrifice, as that's what the good guys insist on doing. 😆

A) Perhaps limited, but still free to do what it needs to to further her story and those she is already associated with.
B) Ahsoka can still have a role to play in that tie up, or her own show couldn’t lay ground work to be continued later. Conjecture, sure. But I feel Ahsoka is tied into Ezra’s story enough that her dying to serve a different story feels odd. Not impossible, but still odd.

C) What we know so far is that he took part in the Great Purge of Mandalorians, and he has the Dark Saber, which was last in Bo’s possession. While I suspect more, those two things we know for certain is enough for Bo to want Gideon dead. Ahsoka’s death by Gideon’s hand I don’t think really increases or decreases Bo’s motivation to kill him. Ahsoka and BoKatan aren’t that close, from what I’ve seen.

Why would they kill Ashoka off in the Mandalorian before her series is even released? That makes ZERO sense.

They should have let Vader kill her off, that would have been the ultimate tragic end to her fate, and cement him as a Jedi killer... Luke being the last of the Jedi seems more and more like a joke.

100% agreed.

My point is killing her would have been a great plot point. Sorry if that was unclear, obviously they can't kill her now.
