I saw a card for the y wing heavy awhile ago. It had 4 engines. I can’t remember who the designer was. There were pilot cards,ship tiles,dial and upgrades. Would anybody be able to help?

Oh, this is something very obscure, even in Legends.

@Darth Meanie This seems like it may be something that at a minimum crossed your path once.

I still have that game ... somewhere ... dang flashbacks ...

I'm just a little too old to have caught the video game bug, so not really.

I played the first Xwing video game in the 90s, but never finished all the missions. 😪

For example, I had no idea the TIE Defender was a video game ship.

I do remember that the star wars game was built on the Age of Empires engine ... I think it was AoE 2

This card was part of the custom card league a few years ago. I don’t remember if Odanan did it(couldn’t find on his site). Was it Darth Meanie or others who were designing cards,upgrades or expansion packs? There were guide a few.

Was just thinking it was a possibility that you'd run into references to them and set up some custom 1.0 cards for them.

It was used by AoE 1 and 2, plus a couple other games.

Actually, my most recent endeavor was finding folks' original designs on the internet and filling out my Sequel-Sequel Factions "The Ultimate Order" and "The Resurgence." I never posted any of it because it seems to make some people annoyed.

I was pretty new to the game when the Custom Card League was in full swing. Many times I wish it was still a thing.

As for the Heavy Y, I mean, kinda bored in quarantine, so maybe I do it now? 🤣

But the I'd rather see the M-Wing (made of old Y-Wing parts) or maybe the H-Wing, more visually distinct sort-off upgrade to the Y Wing, though I'm loving the aesthetic of the M waaay more than the H, there isnt all that much lore to go on.

But the H-wing is meant to carry twice the torpedoes of a Y-wing, so double trop slots

Its primary is a Dorsal Turret (single 2 die rotating arc?) And it can take a cannon, usually an ion cannon. But its so ugly, and its not even a proper Ugly, IYKWIM!

Undecided on the 2 or 3 attack as Wookiepedia states it was second only to the B-Wing in attack power, but maybe thats overall rather than just its turret.

I could see it costed at 40 points.

• 3 dice single-arc turret (I can see reading it either way, but making it a single-arc 3-dice turret differentiates it from the K-Wing, which is otherwise pretty similar)
• 1 agility seems OK.
• I wouldn't go 5/5 on health, since a high shields ratio in 2e is correctly more rare than 1e. 6 hull 4 shield is fine; that's what the Lambda has.
• Slots being Crew, Gunner, Cannon, Torp, Torp, Mod seems right; I could see this being one of those ships which doesn't get Talents, however.
  • New double Torpedo upgrade? Ship ability might allow devices to be equipped in Torpedo slots, so you could do double-torp or double-bomb.
  • Might also include a special gunner that allows some split fire. Something like "After you perform a Cannon attack, you may perform a Turret attack against a target you have not attacked this round."
• Actions: Focus, Lock, Red Roll, Red Rotate, Red Reinforce. It's described as having a design flaw that the gunner was required to operate the primary weapon, so making access to rotate actions hard (that is, red) seems appropriate.
• Dial... Maybe a really trash dial. It's described as being slower than a B-Wing, so having a Lambda-quality dial (without white hard turns) might not be inappropriate.
• Base is medium, since it's kinda hefty, and Wookieepedia suggests that many bases and starships didn't have fighter bays which could accompany it.
• Basically: A Lambda with a turret and ordnance tools, but without support actions.

Reality is often disappointing.

Sadly, it's not a design with alot of inspiring lore.

I did the H a little while ago.
