highland board problem

By air show, in Talisman

hy guys, last saturday I went to the best shop in my city to buy a copy of Highland. as soon as I've opened the plastic cover of the board I've seen that both the connection sides of the board were damaged! sad.gif

I gave back the copy to the shop, and they ordered another copy (maybe next week?). my question is: compared with dungeon board, did you see any "structure" difference? i hope this was only an isolated case, even if the dungeon board looked better at my eyes...but maybe i'm wrong.

My copy was in perfect condition

Our copy of Highland was perfect, but when my husband and I bought the Dungeon, it was torn a little along one of the creases. We weren't bothered enough by the small imperfection to return it, unfortunatley. The crease ended up splitting the board more until it completely broke in two. We used a type of tape that's barely noticeable to mend it, but I really, really wish we'd taken the Dungeon back when we first noticed the problem.

No difference. They're the same size, fold up the same way, fit the main board the same.

You could try emailing Fantasy Flight to ask if they'll send you a replacement. They were kind enough to send me a replacement Runebound board when the front of mine started to come away from the backing. They're very good like that.

Oh, okay. I'll try that. Thanks.

Happy with mine. All boards seem to be made well.

For us, it was quite the opposite. The Dungeon was ok, but due to the many MANY games we've played, the folding edges are starting to lift.

With the Highland, the lamination (?) / corrugation (?) whatever the coating is on the board was very visibly thicker, tougher, and more sturdy. After 10 games, the Dungeon had the tiniest of lifts at the fold points. At the same number of games, the Highland was still pristine.

thanks guys, probably there was an isolated problem, that's all. Now I'm waiting my new copy (I will open it with him) then i'll post new comments. see ya!
