So no one is discussing the fact that Max has been gone since November 17th?
I tried to insert a link the the article but can’t get it to work. The article is on Dicebreaker and states he broke the news yesterday on Twitter.

Max did an excellent job with X-Wing. He deserves a ton of respect and thanks for what he contributed to the game. Also happens to be good at writing.

Honestly I didn't hear about it till today. He is a good designer and it will be interesting to see what he does next.
Allow me... F
Man the minis have been totally gutted. I can't imagine how these decisions were made.
First Alex, now Max...

Oh man...F
Please AMG, don't screw up this beautiful game.

In a boardroom, by someone 100% removed from the product and the community.

****. If AMG tanks the game, can we just ignore their expansions/points in some community events?

It's not hard to figure out. The plague rekt a lot of things.
o7 my good man. At least, I assume he’s a good man, as I don’t really keep up with the who’s who of most companies.
Well that sucks. I'm really hoping for some sort of reassurance from AMG about all of this. Asmodee you done messed up.

Good. We need new ideas.

We also need at least some continuity in the design team, otherwise we will see the mistakes repeated that Alex and Max already learned from. Max came in with new ideas in first edition (TLT) and it hindered the game, but he learned lessons from them. There is 0 guarantee that new ideas won't be TLT without a veteran to veto obvious bad stuff that have already iterated through.
TLT would be fine in 2.0

Dems are fighting words!!!

Having to rotate arc, ability to be arc-dodged, extra dice at range 3, generally more efficient and tougher ships are harder to burn down. If TLT came into the game at it's 1.0 cost it would be unplayably bad.
See folks, this is why we needed a dislike icon on this forum.

You mean, "an updated version of TLT would be fine in 2.0". The range bonus, single arc, need to rotate - all of these are the lessons learned and applied. But if Newey McNewface at AMG makes a 360 degrees weapon that grants no range bonuses, and almost always does 2 damage - it most certainly would not be fine.

To add on to that, there is now way more ships on the board than in 1.0. Imagine facing 5 ywing all with TLT now. 10 almost guaranteed damage per turn...
VTG already needed multiple nerf to dial it back, and that was exactly as described : one or two arc at most, limited by weapon type, had to pay for weapon and gunner, etc. And it still warranted 2 nerf if i remember correctly?
No way is TLT good in any way, shape, or form in 2.0
😆
If TLT makes an appearance now, I think that might be the last straw for me!

Yeah. With the 2.0 Dash we saw a good and playable pilot from the start and only 15 points of difference to the actual version.
The TLT is a bad design because like Rendar or Luke Gunner can be too powerfull if they are right costed. I don't miss that.
We need more in game choices, no more dice and more power creep cards.
