Has anyone had a chance to try out Corey's rules for a solo game of BSG? I've been too busy to give them a spin, but I'm wondering how they play out. I hope to try it before Christmas, but I'm not sure I'll make it.

its as exciting as a solitaire..

You will be chok full of skills cards and can handle most skill checks....

I played Bill Adama, and I felt I could do to little on the Galactica... the 2 vipers, or one shot from weapons control seemed to do little.

Play a Pilot and you may feel that you can't pass skills checks(pilot cards seldom do any difference)

But... the game is about finding cylons and spacing them... and you won't get that in a solitaire game...

I've tried the solitaire version several times now, and I find it pretty fun. I've done it three times using the one-player rules, and have beaten the game once. I've also tried using the two-player cooperative rules, keeping two separate hands. As Roslin and Starbuck, I managed to guide the colonists safely past Kobol, though we were coasting on fumes and on subsistence rations by the end.

I definitely think multiplayer is going to be more fun - after all, that is the way it was designed. Still, I enjoyed the solitaire rules and will definitely break it out from time to time even if nobody else is around just to see if I can beat the game.

I tried this out tonight because I recently bought the game and have had no one to play with yet. It was fun but definitely not the same as the multiplayer game. I miss all of the interaction. Also, I got hosed on early skilly checks because my assist was a cylon, and I got sent to the brig. It took a while to get out. Then I got attacked repeatedly. Eventuallly, it calmed down, but I ran out of population before making to Kobol.
