Plot vs Deadly

By Fancy B, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Ok, I had a pretty interesting situation during my last three player game. I initiate a power attack for 6 STR against the Martell player while I have Fury of the Stag as my revealed plot card. The Martell player defends with Ellaria Sand. It's at this point I believe that Player 3's Walder Frey is supposed to jump in on my side of the challenge (meaning I am now attacking with a deadly character). Now, I would like to use Fury of the Stag's ability to take control of Ellaria Sand but am unsure if she would already be dead due to the attacking deadly character. I guess what I'm asking is:

1. Are plot effects like those of Fury of the Stag and keywords like deadly and vigilant considered passive abilities as far as the timing is concerned?

2. If so, does that mean that I (as the first player at the time) could have decided to have Fury of the Stag's ability resolve before deadly? Thus taking Ellaria Sand out of the challenge and into my possession before she could be chosen to die?

Yes. Both are resolved as passives, so the First Player would decide the order.

Excellent. Thanks a lot ktom.
