Has anyone made note of the fact that the new squadrons are made of a harder plastic than the usual squadron plastic? I want this for my OT squads now!

Yes I like them.

• Harder plastic.
• Sharper detail.
• Hardly any mould lines.
• Not quite as forgiving if you drop or sit on one but they can glue back together easily.

Yes, I noticed that. I think it's a positive change...

However, one of my V-19s came with a badly bent laser cannon. I've tried the warm water method of softening the plastic and carefully bending it straight, but this fix doesn't seem to work as well as with the soft plastic minis.

Something else I've experienced is that the "error rate" of the squadrons in the Starters and Packs are higher than normal. I received an extra V-19 in one of my Republic Starters -- although its laser cannon is bent -- and one of my Republic Squadrons packs was missing a V-19 mini but had an extra ARC-170 mini. Also, one of my Separatist Squadrons packs had 1 extra Tri-Fighter Droid mini.

I've had similar problems with Imperial, Republic, and Rogues & Villains Squadrons packs in the past, but those incidents were spread out over 3+ years. This is 3 packing errors in a single day!

I'm curious if other people have experienced packing errors with their Clone Wars Starters and Squadrons packs?

No issues in the 2 Republic squad packs I got or my core set.

It will be the newer hard plastic that they are using for the later Star Wars Legion releases. To reset any bent pieces the hot water method doesn’t really work as you need to get the plastic hotter. But be careful not to melt it.

Yeah, I got an extra belbullab... Also, in one of my CIS squad pack, all of the Squadron cardboard plates have the holes slightly to the side. (ie its not in exactly in the middle) Something I haven't experienced before.

But other than that, I am very satisfied with my squad packs and CIS starter.
