If only there was a forum to share ideas and to maybe give the new players combinations they may not have thought of. Just sayin'....

Many of us feel that netlisting and obsessing over winrate math is bad for games because it creates sameness and toxicity. In my circles its considered bad sportsmanship akin to looking at an opponents hand or fudging dice. I understand others not sharing that view, but reminding people that its not a healthy mindset is good for all of us. You dont need skilled strangers advice to use your toys

giving all 3 firesprays Thermal Detonators to just carpetbomb the place has a certain appeal.

It has a massive appeal :D

My initial thought was 3 BH with Dets and Zam. Or a couple False Transponders. But I want to try that Krassis build anyway and noticed it fit with 2 naked chums.

I don't see Predator being worth it, for me. I rarely look to front things up with 2x BH, I lean a lot more towards leveraging the rear arc in a rotating tag team. They can be quite frail when the dice disagree with them, so it's safer to play a long game. I've found it's an approach that can deal with any kind of match up.

Same reason I've never had much return from Fearless on any of the pilots. But i t's such a flexible ship, there's multiple ways you can use it effectively, this is just me.

My thinking with Krassis and the Blaster combo is that he could make for a win/win flanker. If they go for him, and they almost have to, he turns away, drops his bombs and turns back in after the 2 BHs have loosened some shields. Or carries on away, forcing them to turn on the BHs as more appealing targets, which plays into his rear arc ability.

If I ran him with a more aggressive load, he's still an obvious target, but gets mulched too easily trying to leverage it. Then the BHs just don't have enough to close any game out. I think he needs to stick around and be a constant thorn, to take pressure of the BHs and force harder decisions.

The 14pt spare on 3 naked Hunters is nice for various things.

Something else I want to try, but have a good deal less confidence in-

YV-666 Light Freighter - •Latts Razzi - 64 •Latts Razzi - Martial Artist (56) •0-0-0 (5) Contraband Cybernetics (3)

Lancer-class Pursuit Craft - •Asajj Ventress - 85 •Asajj Ventress - Force of Her Own (68) •Zam Wesell (4) Contraband Cybernetics (3) • Shadow Caster (1) Hate (9)

Customized YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Lando Calrissian - 51 •Lando Calrissian - Smooth-talking Gambler (42) •L3–37 (4) Electronic Baffle (2) •Lando’s Millennium Falcon (3)

Total: 200

Just seems like fun and looks fantastic on the table, with all the paint and Lego.

Agreed, but sharing is caring, it doesn't necessarily translate directly into that mindset.

Been thinking the same, but another alternative is Dets and fuses. You could slow-roll the engagement, drop bombs, put fuses on them, then do the close range engagement and drop another set. "You can't avoid the bombs, GL HF". In other words, try to range the first engagement to happen at r3, then drop bombs with fuses, and use your low ini to close in for a r1 engagement with 1 forward/banks, and then drop the second set and maneuver past your opponent. It's going to be nigh impossible for them to avoid being bombed, and many will be hit twice, or more.

That’s great for your circle. But this forum is bigger than your circle and encompasses a wide range of players. Your group seems to have an elitist view, flying a net list still doesn’t make the player good and it could be something they enjoy flying. They may not be aware of such combinations as I said previously and it’s a long bow to draw to say it’s akin to cheating. I always find it hilarious when people think that they know what is good for us, like we are too stupid to know and thank god you are here to tell us.
I reiterate, it’s a global forum for sharing ideas, if you don’t like it, don’t participate. No one is forcing you to.

^This. No harm in sharing squads or ideas. im always looking for tech i havent considered. People play this game for different reasons. Each to their own. The online community here is pretty awesome. lets keep the sharing and collaborating going.

To build off of this, I have several times gotten into a rut in how I build a ship. “It’s got to have X, Y, and Q.” But it never feels right. So, I go see what other people are doing with the ship. And look! Some guy halfway across the world is having fun with the same ship, but he’s using upgrades I didn’t even consider. Now I have something new to try, breaking me out of my rut and opening my mind to more possibilities.

That, to me, is one of the best aspects of being connected online. Being able to get input and ideas from people you would probably never meet otherwise.

And for those who think that is unhealthy, I am really sorry for you.
