OK so I get that you use encumbrance to find out much a player can carry, but when would you use it? I've covered the entire section on it a few times and still cant grasp it.

If you use the index, you can find encumbrance listed under "encumbrance."

Yeah. I knew where it was I just couldn't remember how to use it
