Can the Arnkell be used by a character in the Inner Region to teleport to the Crown Of Command; thereby circumnavigating the Valley Of Fire and the need for a Talisman?

I played it that you can as defeating the Lord Of Darkness afterall has the potential to do that if you beat him by a big enough margin, it stand to reason that defeating the Windlord should give you the same advantage albeit in a different way - through the use of one of his magical relics.

I was just about to post the same question. Let's see...

Even though I think the Arnkell is actually meant to be used this way (just like the Cloak of Feathers from The Dungeon), the following statement from the main game's manual regarding the Crown of Command space would normally prevent it:

"It can only be reached from the Valley of Fire space [...]." (p. 20)

However, as both The Highland and The Dungeon (especially the latter) would actually loose a lot of their point if the respective relic/treasure was limited in such a way, I can only assume that the designer intended this "shortcut" to be an option.

This definitely needs clarification on the designer's/FFG's part, though as it basically makes or breaks the expansions.
