Spoilers with speculation are coming in the next post!

Ok, you had forewarning. If you’re here then you don’t mind spoilers.

So, this episode left me with a HUGE question and hope. It opens the door for an AMAZING opportunity.

So, Ashoka tells Mando to take Baby Yoda (The other name reminds me of the rock monster from Galaxy Quest) to a certain planet and mountain and that a Jedi might seek them out.

Do we have a chance to see Mark Hamill bring Luke to the TV screen? Is there a chance we’ll see Ashoka and the son of Anakin meet?

That seems like a HUGE opportunity but also seems like an impossible secret to keep in Hollywood. Surely if Mark was involved it would have leaked?

The planet they were told to go- Tython -has been in the comics. Doctor Aphra took Vader there, keeping him from finding a rebel base. It might have been one of the first- or possibly the very first -Jedi temples.

Tython is also the starter planet for both Jedi classes in Star Wars, The Old Republic. The question is which Jedi will seek out Gorgoo when he does the temple thing Ahsoka told Mando to do. Possible choices?

Luke? Probably not.

Leia? Again probably not.

Cal Kestis from Jedi Fallen Order? His voice actor, Cameron Monaghan, is a perfect match looks wise so this could be a possibility.

Kyle Katarn the protagonist of both Dark Forces, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II? This one is my choice for who shows up, especially since they've already used material from Dark Forces with the Dark Troopers shown at the end of Chapter 12. Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors and the Moldy Crow? Yes please.

Mara Jade? Another possibility.

Ezra Bridger? Depends if he's still with Thrawn or not.

I personally think we might see either Cal or Ezra be the one to come for Baby Yoda(I gotta commit his name to memory). While Kyle and Mara are interesting choices...I don't think the two are canon anymore. It feels like Luke never got a love life and Jyn and Cassian feels like they were made from their concepts.

Kyle Katarn is (barely) canon , but I agree it should be Cal or Ezra. Ezra, most likely.

If it’s Ezra then we have this gap in the story of how he and Thrawn got back and what they’ve been doing. Does that back story get fleshed out in Mando or we gonna get an Ashoka spinoff?

I’d really like to see Luke. Mark Hamill was really underutilized in the sequels.

I don't really like the idea about baby Yoda going to a Mcguffin Temple, but if Luke shows up im all aboard.

Jyn Erso was much, much more a Jan Ors than a Mara Jade. Mara hasn't really got any kind of analogue in the current Star Wars canon.

Oh, it'll probably be Ezra. I mean, if the Mandalorian has taught us anything it's that Dave Filoni really, really, REALLY likes to get all of his stuff in. Up to and including himself. There's a concept in storytelling called "killing your darlings". Filoni saw that and said "Naaaaah it'll be fine".

Luke would be amazing, if only because we never really saw post RotJ Luke in any real capacity. The age difference might be a problem of course.

Speaking of awesome, Michael Biehn. Such a good actor, I hope it wasn't a one-and-done. I was getting serious Dengar vibes from his look in the episode.

Although his stand off with Mando was a bit... pointless. He said himself "looks like your side won". So why go for the draw? He must know that Beskar armour is resistant to blaster fire, and even if he gets the shot his paycheck is gone. Made no sense to me at all.

Luke is a possibility. Right now he's building a new Jedi Order and Ben Solo is... About 4-5 years old right now.

Ezra is slightly more likely, but I'm not banking on him. Ahsoka's on her own quest, away from Din and Grogu.

Cal is a possibility, but I doubt it severely. Seems strange to me he'd appear before his Jedi: Fallen Order 2 appearance.

Y'all expectin' Kyle Katarn though, as a Jedi, listen the time lines up for Legends but thiiiis ain't Legends. I'm... Not expecting it. Cool as it'd be.

I honestly don't think a jedi will show. Ahsoka said Grogu will choose, as well as thinking of Mando as a father.

No one will come to train.

Ezra is likely off someplace only thrawn knows. (Rebels epilogue hasn't happened yet)

Cal - they could easily save him for a second game. (Still haven't played it)

Luke would mean that Grogu would meet a definite end, as his Jedi Order didn't last that long, and right now he is still searching out artifacts, is he not?

What will happen will be, just as we think, someone is coming, it will be Moff Gideon or his minions that come and abduct him. Remember the Chekov’s gun that is the tracking device.

Then, Din, will spend the next episode recruiting allies so they can assault Moff Gideon.

Now this is all Conjecture, but with THREE episodes left, and so many threads dangling, I doubt A jedi will show - with the only caveat to this being a force ghost.

Imaginea an older Rowan Fremaker there, helping Luke build his.new temple, Rowan being a force builder. That would be such a great little easteregg

Hah. That'd be kind of cool.

I don't think we will see the Tython planet this season. I expect Moff Gideon to catch up Mando before his next step.

BUT.,... Thrawn ?!? I cannot wait to see if he will be in this season. I hope so, but I honestly think that he will be the season 3 villain. I expect a report from Moff gideon to Thrawn at the end of this season.

What you said makes a LOT of sense.

So, Mando kills Gideon (or even better: Bo-Katan do it), recovers Baby Yoda and in the epilogue we get a glimpse of the season's 3 big bad: Thrawn.

I would be sad to see Gideon dies so fast. I like the villain.

I hardly think Kyle being the FFG LCG makes him canon, regardless of what Wookiepedia says about it.

...if we do I'd expect a Force Awakens ending scenario.

*Mando climbs a mountain. Sees a hooded, robed figure standing alone at the top. Mando holds out Grogu...*

Let's just hope the first episode of season three doesn't start with the follow up scene from The Last Jedi...

I don't expect any of this at all to be honest. I feel like that name drop was setting the stage for an Ahsoka series. I really doubt it comes into play in the Mandalorian.
