So the Consular has Turbolasers and Ordnance, too. I like it but i'm really curious which republic ship is gonna have the ion cannon slot. The Venator just has Turbolasers and Torpedos, too. Arquitens has Turbos and Missiles. And even the Stealth Ship has just Torps and i think a few Lasers. We ran into this ion problem when designing ships for our Clone Wars Set, too. We then decided to give it to the Pelta, since it has the least well defined armament of all Republic ships. I wonder how they will handle it. Will the Republic even have Ion Cannons? Maybe Rep will only have Turbos and Ordnance, while Cis while have Ions on the Munificent and Providence but have Ordance only on the Providence.

In the Clone Wars, Republic warships usually fired blue turbolasers, which were ionized to be more effective against droids. It was like a turbolaser-ion cannon hybrid. That's probably why we aren't seeing the Ion Cannon slot on Republic ships...

But we've only seen 2 Republic ships thus far, so it's premature to assume the Republic can't use Ion Cannons. It's possible the Venator could have an Ion Cannon slot -- although the canon Venator was not equipped with Ion Cannons.

I wonder if an "Ionized Turbolaser" Turbolaser upgrade card, with a weaker Ion Cannon-type special crit effect, will be introduced at some point -- probably Republic-only (or Republic and Separatists only).

With ACM and APT ajustments, I wonder if this also speaks to Sato and Screed price reductions or rules ajustments?

Also this is a overall nerf to Demo/MC30 MSU lists who needed the two procs to produce massive burst for the list. I can't help but feel to side with the MSU players who have worried about the continuous loss of power from the style of play. What powerplays do they have? Are they just forced to play passive and farm obj.? Maybe with the resupply cycle the squadron one may give some small chance of a squardron Msu to come into being. Though Im just a casual large ship player who now feels some relief my MC80s will have some fighting chance when a demo/MC30 parks itself in the front arc. Lots of thoughts, not sure where to fall. Probably need the whole picture of all the rules updates incoming.

I don't think I've ever used Demolisher to double-arc with with ACMs or APTs. The only way to use Demolisher's ability and double-arc with Ordnance would be at Speed 1 (or 2) -- otherwise Demo's first shot couldn't be in close range -- and it's rare and risky to fly a Gladiator that slowly. The whole idea is to speed in, attack, and get out of range again.

And normally, Demo last-firsts and only uses ACM for one attack per activation anyway, which is sufficient to kill even large Republic ships.

That's why the updated ACM being exhaustible is fine with me! 😁

I think the demo/admo players will be pretty bummed about this.

On the positive side, and if combined with a couple of other tweaks, hopefully will make the game less focused around last-firsting

Flag Bridge, my dude. You just get it once, but sometimes that's all you need. :)

If I remember correctly, Flag Bridge is large ship only. Clone wars doesn't have a large ship yet.

Pretty sure it is medium ship as well.

If it makes my Admonition cheaper, I think I’m cool. The double arcing was, as someone else already pointed out, pretty busted anyway.

going to miss using spinals +ord experts + malee to trigger two ACMs at long range, it was cheaper than two hammerheads.

Ah, but CCZ doesn't have the "clone only" text that we see on Battle Droid Reserves. I'd say he would work on the Armed Cruiser.

Of course, this is making stabs in the dark, since no one (except the playtesters) know the final rules regarding the keywords.

Clone Captain Zak will be able to be used on any ship. The Clone Gunners weapons team upgrade specifically says "clone only".
