Actually a well upgraded SSD is not to be underestimated. My friend usually runs it with h9+quad turbolaser cannons plus more offensive stuff. It kills small ships with that 2 guaranteed accuracy pretty fast. And it is a threat to other ships as well, like the mc80 Lib won't brace. That assault frigate won't be able to use all kind of nice Def tokens. Are you going to brace or redirect with your MC75? It is mean, I honestly hate it. Of course it is killable / cripple-able but not an easy work.
What weird thing do YOU want in armada 1.5?
A way to put fully functional fleet commands on the MC80; ya know, the only Rebel ship that actually gives fleet commands on screen in the original trilogy. Say, a new Home One title that is a Rebel take on the Chimaera title, or else something like Flag Bridge without the token use restriction just for MC80s/75s. The fact that the Pelta is still way better at fleet commands than the actual flagship of the entire Rebel/New Republic fleet is so frustrating.
B-wings that can catch the capital ships they're designed to destroy without needing a bunch of external cards to push them.
And on a much more random note, a new special ability for squadron Wedge, so I can unstaple him from Dutch. Something where he isn't a counterpuncher with escort.

How about Counter 100? π

1.5 Wedge card: 50 points, 5 hull, speed 3, 4 blue anti squad, 1 black anti ship, defence tokens 1 scatter, 1 brace. Text: If rogue squadron is present on the field Wedge gains keywords grit, counter 3, assault, and an additional scatter token, and enemy attacks are treated as obstructed.
Not going to happen, and really shouldn't either but wider front and rear arcs on the GR-75. The upgrade to combat retrofits is already a massive increase in points (as a percentage of its base coat), only to find that you just about need to be on a ramming course with whatever you want to shoot at.

Either sounds good
In all seriousness though, Wedge with Bomber, Counter 1 or 2, and Escort sounds interesting. I'm mainly just tired of either always pairing him with Dutch, or else having to give the other player free shots at him before I can use his ability.

New independence title rework would fit nicely here.
Cards and cardboard that are impervious to queso or soda.
A BAC for the Rebels?
Damage Decks available in a booster pack.
Or something.
More interesting and variegated objective play. Not just most wanted, contested outpost, superior positions repeat.
A ion canon crit vs squads
New ordnance upgrade
More titles.
I like the direction RitR went - not that I use Vanguard, but sometimes Liberator sees play and Harrow comes out often. The Pelta, Interdictor especially need title love.
I would like to see a campaign box (maybe late next year or early 22'...ew that sounds weird) for CIS and GAR.
Finally, I would like to see squad points rebalanced. When you compare some directly side-by-side, it's awful.
Mareek Steele vs. Darth Vader - point-for-point you will always take Mareek over Vader. Force multiplier aces / upgrades like Howlrunner, Jan, Dengar (but Intel nerf helps the latter 2 anyway) should come up. I wonder if Flight Controllers becomes an exhaust / token to refresh, because it's stapled to any carrier that can take it.
Updated objectives. There are a lot that are simply terribad. They could use a bump.

Some are terribad. Many of the old ones are pretty boring.
Contested Outpost vs Abandoned Mining Facility. CO is probably objectively better, but AMF is so ******* fun!!!
Eclipse class SSD π
Another wish that Iβve harped on before β new base size: Extra Large.
Have it bridge the gap between Large and Huge. For example, six defense tokens with two attacks, plus half-point rules?
Though itβs too late for the Starhawk to be included (it would have made a perfect first candidate), this new base could accommodate Trade Federation battleships, MC85s, and Resurgents, while offering even greater variability in how ships behave.

Normally, I'm a pretty laid back and relaxed person. But don't you think I'll ever put a single unsleeved ship, upgrade or damage deck card on the table... π€£ *shudder*
