Given the time period, it means that class has some survived active use for quite a while. Guess maybe this is one more ship that could go into final order fleet with modernizations?

Fleets will always need a smaller vessel that’s cheap to operate that can push around systems with basically no military. Also, provide cheap armed transport/escort. Also, cover weak spots of the main capital ships

The thread title made me think you were referring to a Mandalorian capital ship (which had me intrigued). Not a capital ship appearing in The Mandalorian . 😆
