Begun the Clone War has.

Evade on a squadron seems an interesting choice.

I have no idea if it will be any good in game, but I love the mechanics of Swivel-Mount Batteries (also "focus" tokens - what is this, X-Wing?).

Slightly curious how those Hyperspace Rings actually fit onto the V-19s...

Tightly.

An evade on a squadron ace πŸ‘€ love the idea!! Curious to see how it’ll effect future aces

IIRC, the Munificent is getting a red flak die, so an Evade token could get some use besides the token-spending effect. I doubt it'll become a new standard thing, though.

If I understand them correctly, Swivel-Mount Batteries will let you use blacks at red range. So hello long-range APTs (luckily for Sato its Clone Wars exclusive, or else nobody would ever use him again).

On another note: Could Obi-Wan stack with Expert Shield Tech to just straight reduce damage by 2? Being able to Brace+Redirect a 4-damage hit to 0 could be neat.

Well it'll certainly be the main token used to feed his special ability, sure.

But how many ships have blue or (particularly applicable) red anti-squadron dice? It's pretty rare that this is going to even be usable...

And of course it means you've got a squadron defense token that will (for the first time) never be usable vs other squadrons, but only ships. Which is...new.

I think Snipe wants to have a word with you. Distance 2 is about a milimeter longer than short range :P

The Quasar-II, Starhawk MkII, Assault SSD, and (as I mentioned above) Munificent have red flak dice, so its gradually becoming more common. And I guess there's Heavy Fire Zone.

As for ships with no blue flak: Onager Testbed, Arquitens Light Cruiser, Raider-I, Cymoon ISD, Torpedo Hammerhead, Ordnance MC75, both LMC80s, and the cheaper Flotillas, plus the new Acclamator-I. So thats 5 ships per faction that the evade would be completely useless against. But its definitely mainly there as fuel for his effect.

Keep in mind that they could always ADD a new effect to the existing evade effect. Like "While defending as a squadron against a enemy squadron you may force the attacker to reroll one die." I dont think its likely but its an option. If such a new Evade token were to more and more replace some defense tokens on Aces, it would also make the defense tokens of squadrons more interesting that just "negate all damage" and "negate half damage"...

I'm loving the art on the card backs. It looks nice and it makes them look more unique than the Rebel and Empire ones.

At first glance, the Acc I & IIs look well-costed.

Def. makes the Vic and Afk II look over-costed by comparison.

Makes me hopeful we'll get a Ship Card Pack down the road.

The Acc II could fire off 9 dice from the front arc... 4 of them being black, re-rollable with OE.

Dont forget the Nav Chart. Those things will fly straight and hit a wall if there is one : -). At least the AFK can fly circles around them.

Freaking f*cling finally. I don't actually play the game but I collect the armada ships and have them on display. I've been waiting a long time for the clone wars ship, especially the Separatists fleet.

Now my evil triangles can join the good triangles.

66 point for a speed three, 5 dice + ordinance, turbo and gunner font arc on a shield 4, 7 damages hull....all topped of with 3 squad and 4 eng.... I will take 3 and fill up with squadrons and roll on forward.

very well priced In deed, to return of the medium list I can see.

It's going to steer like a barge. No Madine or Jerjerrod to stop them leaving the board.

(Also considering the hilarious possibility of using a Konstantine fleet on them to make them go speed 3)
