Edit 1: maybe replace a Starbird A for Lt. Blount?

I think you duplicated an A-wing once too many times.

Yeah I would bring Blount.

fixed, txs.

Agreed. Blount is really good for the cost. I like the idea of the As though

no love for the rebel starbirds then?

Think they are saying yeah they work but 3 is too many. 2 will probably work for you while Blount gives you the added kick

I've played Starbird Slash on 3 resistance A-wings today and I have to say, that this talent is a garbage. It's hard to trigger and opponent can just do a blue maneuver if he sees that you gonna give him strain with your i1 ships.

Keep in mind the head game that plays with them. If you figure them the type to prepare for the strain by dialing a blue, don't trigger the talent and throw a block instead. I find that to be the main value of the card, that and putting strain on ships that can't afford to blue this turn.

It's even harder to be in a position that you can both block a ship and move through it, since you do not have 1 straight on A-wings. But I'd be happy to see a pictures when you managed to do that.

This is partly why I think Intimidation AND Starbird Slash might be a good combo. You should usually be able to either block or Slash, and both work well for you.

Stop jousting in your openings; being on a flank, the 1-2 hard in front/ 3sloop through manages both of these.

Yeah hard 1s are great for blocking. And I was doing that yesterday with my tie interceptors fairly regularly. It'd have been awesome to have intimidation on them too... but alas. IntimiSlash is going to be a thing for sure.
