Hi all, not really a rules question but I can’t find which document contains the huge ship rules. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

That would be the Booklet that came with the Super Star Destroyer itself.

One side has the rules available then.
As long as one side has the rules - the owning side - then there's no problem as far as FFG is concerned.
Its nothing new.
Exactly the same as if, say, your opponent brings Corellian Conflict Objectives and Dust Clouds for the First time. Or an Armed Station.
You're not
expected
to have the rules for something you
don't own.
The onus is on the Owning player.
Note that this essentially for now , and there will no doubt be an online update at some stage that is likely to include it.
But at the moment, this is
status quo
for how its been
since wave 0 release

Ok thanks, it’s just rather frustrating, we’ve been playing games with my opponent deploying on the station etc. Which I had no idea the SSD couldn’t do until today. Thought it would be prudent to read up on them for myself. Is the wiki article on the rules pretty accurate?

This is a problem with all new rules, actually. The Rule Reference has never been updated. Sloppy.

My file on Armada Rules Reference will have what you are looking for, although all information packets are integrated with everything else. But you can search for terms you are looking for.
The only things I don't include are any Campaign information for CC or RitR
