The first fleet definitely inspires more confidence in me. Unless you’re going in an “everything is cheap and disposable, it’s MSU!” sort of direction, I feel like a fleet needs at least one piece of survivable beef in it, especially if that fleet is using squadrons. A Neb-B, CR90, Hammerhead and a couple of flotillas is far too flimsy for my tastes. They’re some of the softest targets in the game.

So yeah, I like the first fleet better. But I think B-Wings are so horribly slow that you really need Wedge Antilles (Officer) to keep them moving. Fighter Control Team can help too, but this sort of effect is necessary to have a redundancy of, because if you can‘t get your B-Wings on target, they’re nearly worthless.

What about changing Flight Commander on Yavaris to Wedge?

Or maybe put Wedge on a GR75?

I think the MC80 fleet needs to keep strat Adviser to maintain early activations?

Depends on your style and your local scene. If everyone you know tends to go for 4-5 activations and plays Strategic Advisors of their own, then maybe yours doesn’t help much. I kind of find Strategic Advisor sort of coin-flippy.

I personally tend to take them if the ability to last-first is important to me, and I think I have a reasonable shot at pulling that off a good bit of the time with the additional activation. And that’s usually important to me mostly when I’m using black dice on close range knife fighter-type ships like MC30’s and GSD’s, where bid and activation advantage can play a huge role in how well the fleet ultimately functions. A fleet like yours, above? Doesn’t really seem like a big deal to be out-activated, so yeah, I’d switch out Strategic Advisor for Wedge in a heartbeat.

Wedge only works with generic squadrons, so don’t forget to switch out Dagger for a stock B-Wing. And, because durable Bombers and Escorts are both so on-plan here, if it were me, I’d do my best to find another 6 or 7 points and use them to upgrade either Gold Squadron or one of the generic X-Wings to Luke Skywalker. Much as I like Gold Squadron, I’d even consider dropping Gold and one X for Luke. But you could also do something like drop Leading Shots, Ahsoka, and Quantum Storm to upgrade Gold to Luke.
