Fun idea make a fleet in honor of Star Wars Squadrons.

Like many of you I have been playing Squadrons fleet battle mode so here is a fun challenge for everyone here.

Rules make a fleet either rebel or imperial using fleet battle rules.

400 points

Rebels must use ships 1xMC75, 2xNebulan, 2xCorellian corvette, minimum 1 squadron

Imperials must use 1xISD, 2xArquitens, 2xRaider, minimum 1 squadron

One I just came up with real quick. Pretty hard to get upgrades on ships if u plan on actually bringing more then 1 squadron

Breaking the rules a bit. I figure you need a minimum of 5 squadrons, only x, a, and y wings allowed. Jan Ors is subbing for a U-wing. I can’t fit a second CR-90 in here, but I think this fits thematically.

We started discussing last week, sorry 😅. I actually ran the basic composition at my first Regionals but we're going for a more restricted build with no-unique Squadrons or Upgrades outside of Commander.

I want a squadrons based campaign pack.

Some cool new cardboard (or even modelled!) Terrain, cards for all the appropriate ships and people, baradium munitions and Uwings/Tie reapers. Ive got this idea of a hull 4 or 5 boat that lets friendly squads repair or something.

Reapers and U-Wings NEED to be included in Armada. U-Wings particularly.

I was just imagining a new hybrid squadron card: Vanguard Squadron, which carries an A-Wing, a Y-Wing, and an X-Wing, all on the same stand, with (say) 4 blue anti-squadron, 1 blue, 1 black anti-ship, 3 speed, 6 hull, Counter 2, Bomber, Escort. Maybe a defense token or two, since it’d be super expensive.

Can’t figure out how to make Titan Squadron as interesting, since the stats of the TIE Fighter are just straight worse than the Interceptor. Maybe... 4 blue anti-squad, 1 blue, 1 black anti-ship, 4 speed, 5 hull, Bomber, Counter 2, and, “You may reroll up to two blue dice when attacking a squadron,” and maybe a Scatter token? With a Fighter, a Bomber, and an Interceptor on the stand.

I don’t know why that stats would be superior.

A squadron/flight/stand of Ywings is 1 black die. A stand of Xwings is one red die. How would a squadron comprised of a single Ywing, 1-2 Xwings, and non bombers somehow do more damage?

Vanguard would look like if you tried to get the average of a buncj of rebel squads, then force it to the slowest speed.

Superior stats because X-Wings, Y-Wings, are all good against ships, and ‘cause it’s Vanguard, so an extra blue against ships. I mean, your approach of averaging them works too, but you’re basically getting a fancy A-Wing with Bomber at that point. Which is fine. Anything in a certain range is fine if costed appropriately (so like, no more than 4 dice against squads, no more than 2 against ships, that sort of thing).

Maybe a black and a red v. ships, so it doesn’t step on the B-Wing too much.
