What are the 3 most played factions in your playgroup?

In my play group its republic, resistance, and first order, granted my playgroup is smaller than normal for obvious reasons. The group that I would play against at stores it was more scum, empire, and republic. Although First order was starting to make waves before everything got shut down.

My group is pretty small, too. I'd say it's Scum, Imperial, then Republic. Rebels are probably a close 4th.

Imperials and Rebels far outstrip anything else in my local meta, in that order. I can't even think what number 3 would be. Might be a tie between Scum and First Order? Republic is definitely the least played.

Most of my playgroup are players who play in a lot of tournaments and who play a lot of factions. Among that crowd it feels like they gravitate towards Seps, Scum, and Imp the most, but that was pre-points change when Scum was bonkers and 2 people would be practicing a Boba-Fenn list a night.

The casual crowd is mostly scum and rebels. They had a bit of a die off though, pre-covid, because of the aforementioned Boba practice. I am the only regular rebel, we got 2 regular casual scum, and 2 irregular scum and an irregular rebel.

Empire, Scum, FO. Not even a contest. There's some other players around, I know of at least 1 rebel player, 1 republic player, and 1 resistance player, but they don't play as much, and are outnumbered. There's no CIS here.

It will be really interesting to see what this list looks like once more areas have in store play. In my area it will be in the spring at the earliest. It wouldnt shock me if they announce a wave with a march release just before the november wave drops. That's a lot of content for people to figure out.

If I were FFG I would be 'hiding my power level' for that. Or at least would want to do so. Obviously there are some issues that may make it hard, but a big razzle dazzle '2.5' launch with a big cardboard pack and 2 ships for most of the factions and aces packs for the old-timers would be a really clever 'push' for the game. Its an environment where everyone is basically 're-committing' to the game to a level where you almost want to sell it as new again, and I suspect a lot of games will do this.

This assumes there is a definitive end to the pandemic where there is a clear timetable (The vaccine scenario), which may not be true. If it isn't, then obviously every tabletop game has a shakey future because the entire selling point is the tactile nature and the fact your in the same space as other people. Unless we get holo chess of course.
