Ric Olié gets an additional die on attack and defense against opponents if the speed of his “revealed maneuver” is higher than the enemy’s.
R2-A6 says that “After you reveal your dial, you may set your dial to a maneuver of the same bearing of a speed 1 higher or lower.”
Let’s imagine that my opponent’s Academy TIE reveals a 2-straight, and completes the maneuver. Ric reveals a 2-hard left, which puts him more or less face-to-face with the TIE, at range 1. I realize that if I adjust the dial to give him a 3-hard left, I will still be face-to-face with the enemy, at range 1. Does altering my dial at this point (with R2-A6) change my “revealed maneuver,” giving me a full 4 attack dice and 3 defense dice vs. the TIE? Or is my “revealed maneuver” still considered to be a 2-hard left, even after using the astromech’s text?
This also has implications regarding Dineé Ellberger, obviously.
