the funniest part is they told us like a year ago that releases where going to be event focused like a specific battle or movie or such....... we are seeing the opposite of that lol.
Two Legion leaks (spoilers!!!)

I mean they are themed if u think about it. Anakin, Maul, Lando, and Kallus are all people who worked for 1 faction but then later worked for a different faction

The actual funniest part is that a year ago none of us knew that a global pandemic of a novel Corona virus was on its way to disrupt nearly every aspect of our lives, governments and healthcare systems.
We all had plans a year ago that had to be abandoned.
BUT MAH CLONE WARS!!!

Personally I'm hoping for the Inquisitorius. It's be nice to have some lower powered force users on the imp side. Something that doesn't eat up 25% of an army to field.
Are any of the current Force users in the game cheap? Fully built, even Commander Luke usually accounts for nearly 25% of a Army's points. Lower priced/powered Force users would be welcome, but it's hardly something the Empire is exclusively in need of.

As KommanderKeldoth said, plans have clearly been disrupted. Anakin and Maul should have been out months ago, even if FFG was only roughly following the timetable of the GCW factions. Releases like these were probably already in the design phase when that statement was made, and that statement likely referred to what was on the drawing board at the time. The next batch of releases (or the ones following that) whenever, whatever they are, will probably be the battle focused ones.

Has it really been a year since we got any real info on delays, overboard shipments, or their future plans? I guess they could fill us in during the points change video (whenever that is). Really hate the silence and would love it at least FFG saying everything is FUBAR and they don't know.

Agreed, but with FFG trying to be bought out (or is it Asmodee, I can't remember) that'd kill any hope of that happening in the next couple years since you're basically announcing that you have no new ways of generating revenue in the near future.

FFG is a subsidiary of Asmodee which in turn has been owned by French equity firm PAI Partners since 2018. From 2013-2018, Asmodee was owned by a different equity firm (Eurazeo), which is when the acquisition of other game companies started in earnest. Typically, private equity forms buy a company, make it more profitable through various means (minimizing costs while maximizing profits, merging with other, similar companies, etc) and then selling the company for a profit. The restructuring that has been taking place at FFG (removal of accessory and RPG lines, ending of part replacement program) are generally things done by an equity firm as part of preparing a company for eventual sale. But that doesn't mean it's being sold this year, or the next, just probably sometime this decade.

Agreed. FFG is a trainwreck and the silence doesn't help them in any way, shape or form. Covid certainly hasn't helped them, but they have had issues for years, issues that Covid only made worse. An honest and frank appraisal of the situation would help their image considerably, and also help fans not feel like they've been lied to in regards to the direction of the game.
Anakin's rule insert:
Explains how the weakness card works but does not show his actual card. Going off of Google translate it looks like your opponent gets to add it to their hand and play it any round.
Republic Specialist:
Beam 2 keyword is in the rule insert. GAR getting a trooper unit heavy with Beam 2?
Droid Specialist:

I bet it has to do with one of the command cards. Probably to simulate an LAAT doing air support
Based on google translate, observation tokens get assigned to enemy units and can be spent by your own attacking units to reroll attack dice. They go away at the end of the round.

As a native speaker I can confirm this. You spend any number of observation tokens that the enemy unit has to reroll that many attack dice. Observation tokes are removed at the end of the round.

Interesting. So its like giving a weaker aim token out but any ally can potentially use it.
...I think if google translate is correct or close to I think Anakin's weakness card is called " It's not a story the Jedi would tell you".
Edited by KiraYamatoSFAlso interesting is the list of Anakin's Upgrades: Choke, Anger, Fear - all of them dark side force powers. Also two unannounced cards: Force Barrier and Seize the Initiative. Additionally he seems to get access to Relentless and Outmaneuver with his command cards since both these keywords get explained.

Those absolute madlads. Lords of the meme.
There are also some other hints:
- his command cards translate to: "And now the fun begins" "You underestimate my power" "Hero of the Clone Wars"
- Anakins Upgrade Cards: Anger, Force Choke, Offensive/Defensive Stance, Fear, Force Barrier (new), "Seize the initiative" (new)
Edited by M.MustermannClone Specialist command cards: "Attack of the clones", "Air Support", "Syncronized offensive"
Upgrades: "Seize the initiative" (new) , radiance or charisma? (new), portable scanner, HQ Uplink, vigilance (new)
Droid Specialist command cards: "Mechanized Invasion", "Orbital Strike", "Roger Roger!"
Upgrades: identical to clones
Darth Maul Command Cards: "Duell of Fates", "The Dark Menace", "At Last"
Upgrades: Anger, Comms Jammer, Fear, Force Barrier (new), Force Choke, Offensive Push, Offensive/Defensive Stance, Seize the Initiative (new)
...

Thats cool. I was hoping Anakin would have some keyword that would allow him to equip dark side powers
Dang. I was hoping to get a glimpse of Maul's fighting style keyword
