Interesting. I wonder what the common thread between these two is. Double agents, perhaps?
Very excited to see what these expansions are going to be like! Been waiting for Lando forever.
Kallus could be dual faction maybe?
Wonder what the remaining 2 expansions are going to be?
They could both have flaws like Anakin. Lando (smugglers self interest), Kallus (rebel mole).
If it is a double agent thing they could have Lando as a commander for Rebels and an operative for the Empire while Kallus is the opposite as a commander for the Empire and an operative for the Rebels.

Interesting idea. The old Decipher CCG had something similar with Lando- both Light Side and Dark Side had versions of Lando, but if the light side played Lando while Dark Side Lando was in play, Dark Side Lando would be discarded (If Light Side Lando was in play, Dark Side Lando was just stuck in your hand). There was also one or two other more obscure characters with the reverse interaction.
its probably just he flaw system. They are really into symmetry

Why is that still a thing? As a design choice I understood it when it was still just two factions, but four just feels............. wired??? Guess I just want more faction identity and Legion is not really about that.

This would be a smart game design decision because now it isn't just rebels who buy Lando but Imperials as well. Much like Vital assets which has been sold out forever the more players who want to buy a single unit the better.

I personally really doubt will have flaw cards or be double faction. But thats more my own bias/opinion speaking then anything
Lando + Lobot box set like Cassian + K2 or GTFO!

Oh that’s all kinds of SEXY !

That’s even sexier!!!
itd be cool if they each worked for either faction. then itd be like getting 2 new models for both factions.
I kind of doubt Lando will have any double agent mechanics. He sold out Han briefly before changing his mind and then spent decades working with the alliance and the new republic.
Kallus on the other hand worked for the empire for years before switching sides. I could definitely see some kind of Agent Fulcrum shenanigans with him.
I am frankly a bit surprised at the lack of force users, unless this is going to be an all characters release? I had thought there was something about 2 characters and 2 units, but I suppose I could be wrong. The main reason for my surprise is the new upgrades Anakin and Maul have been revealed as including which require a Force upgrade slot. It feel a little bad to have those upgrades delayed to a different "wave" than Anakin and Maul... Unless the units are going to have a Force upgrade slot? That would be.... surprising.
Interestingly, nothing I've seen says these are the NEXT GCW characters to be released, but that has in general been the case for these leaks.
Seeing as these leaks keep coming from the same source, I'm surprised Asmodee still provides them with the information...

We know ffg said that there were 4 GCW releases coming after the prequel specialists. We (theoretically) know two of them.
What if the other two are special forces units similar to Inferno or Clan Wren where it’s multiple named minis functioning in a unit? Say, the rest of the Spectres in one and Inquisitors in the other? That would get them their force slot needed for the new cards

It limits how many new mechanics they put in each release. They feel the need to add new mechanics with every wave in order to get you excited and wanting to buy them, and 4 vastly different releases in one wave would probably end up being like 15 new keywords/RRG entries. For better or worse, that's why they do it.

Thy don't really give that much of a ****.

While that is certainly possible, we do know that one of the unannounced releases is something pretty obscure— to the point that Luke had to clarify that it is canon and they didn't make it up, and that he hasn't seen anyone request it. So I doubt that would be a character of any kind, let alone a force user. Not when there are so many obvious, highly-requested force users they could go with instead.

Lando still sold out Han though.
So its conceivable Lando could switch sides for one battle. And the context of Legion is one battle.

Yeah, I could see it, but I hope they dont latch onto that as character defining for him. After all Iden Versio defected from the Empire but they chose not to have that define her rules.
To be fair, Iden only defected after it became apparent the Empire lost and could no longer win lol.
I dont buy Iden having some kindve last minute moral epiphany because she didnt realize the empire were the bad guys all along. Because nobody could possibly be that dumb after working for ISF for all those years.
Whereas ESB Lando only cared about his own self-interests. He flipped to whatever side helped himself the most. Its not until the end of ESB that his character undergoes a moral transition.
Lando is very much a character that could have both an ESB version and a RotJ version. One works for the empire and the other works for the rebels.

I hope they keep it that way too. We dont really need more force users. Id rather see them fix Vader than add new force users.
If Vader was as good as he should be then thered be no reason to ever add crappy inquisitors.

I wouldnt be surprised if they just put it /have force users in the next set GCW releases. Granted that would suck making GCW factions wait even longer for the upgrade.
As for the leaks they probably purposefully give them the info knowing they'll leak it. Free publicity.

Same source? The last couple of FFG leaks all came from (local) distributor catalogs - which makes sense since these will know about new products 9+ months before release. They have to order them in production and do localisation.
This leak though is from the presentation page of 'Spiel' the largest boardgame convention in the world, where they list which products will be presented. It also includes all known upcoming FFG products like CW Armada. It was just bad timing I guess since Spiel probably uploads the entire presentation page in bulk. And besides we all know how long the Disney approval process for News articles is, so the official announcement will still be in the pipeline somewhere.
