Y oh Y oh Y?

Just for something a little jank but different i've had a kind of idea but considering i can do it in 3 different factions im just not sure.

The gist of it is:

Y Wing - Concussion Bombs, Ion Cannon Turret x5

The Republic option has more shields and less hull and at base PS 1 is 185 points, so 15 left spare.
The Rebel and Scum versions are identical but for further options and they come in at 190 points, so 10 spare.

Willing to consider 4 Y-Wings and a Support ship if there's a better option.

Any ideas?

Delayed fuses give your ywings more green dice thanks to goji. R2d2 also has prox mines that can be static green dice for ywings. Wolfpack on r2d2 means ywings get locks when they are attacked, giving them full mod ion turret shots.

Just so you know, Goji has had an errata so his ability only works with bombs. Otherwise, it's a shame you're topped off at six green dice with a list like that.

I was looking at Goji the other day. How difficult is the range 0-1 restriction? It seemed like if you were jousting, you'd have to have something flying a little ahead to drop a bomb that your other ships would be near, but then doesn't that ship just become the target?

I'm not sure it will come up all that often but it could be a lifesaver if you get bumped near your own mine and considering he's the same cost as a Red Squadron Bomber and same PS you might as well take it.

I ran Goji in a small store tourney and loved him. I dropped proton bombs and reloaded nearly every turn which kept my opponents guessing as to whether I would drop with a fuse for defense or without for offense. A dorsal turret and Seventh Fleet Gunner were also equipped; if I had a disarm token for a reload action may as well stack on 7thFG's as well. The whole package came in at 48 points with an R4 and was an amazing force multiplier.

I'd be really hesitant to spam Conc bombs without fuses. The lack of control over how you drop makes fuses a really interesting tool for zone control, but also protecting your own fleet if you have to drop in a bad position.

I like the idea, not sure its too usefull in a Y-Wing Ion Swarm though, i dont think it justfies taking out a whole ships worth of shooting to boost a 2 Dice attack when everyone is toting Ions.

Probably not. I agree with above that delayed fuses are a good call and goji never hut for a free ability but no pressure if it isn't used since same price as generics
