So, I thought I knew how this worked, but after reading some answers on another thread here, I may not.

I have Hawk, turret sideways, equipped with Ion Missiles. Countess Ryad, equipped with Outmaneuver, approaches head-on. When she attacks, does Ryad have the ability to use Outmaneuver? Or does the Ion Missile cover Hawk’s front firing arc, thus turning Outmaneuver off?

No. Secondary weapons do not *add firing arcs*.

Rules Reference pg 4

Quote

A ship’s firing arcs include all shaded arcs on the ship’s ship token plus all [turret] arcs, if any.

If an upgrade card gives a ship a [turret] arc or primary weapon with a specified arc , those arcs are also firing arcs.

So far, the only upgrade that *adds* firing arcs (aside from turrets), is the Moldy Crow.
