If you are using Advanced Slam to reload, you are getting stressed. Advanced SLAM used to let you an action after SLAM in First Edition with no other cost. But in Second Edition it stresses you .
Given the horrid dial of the K-wing, that means that next turn you must do a speed 1 straight or bank, or a speed 2 straight.
That leaves you with a ship that can only SLAM at speed 1-2. That's not going to last long, since you basically remove all its ability to kite and get out of harm's way.

Is Nien Numb good enough for this? Maybe too many points?

Yeah I was thinking Nien or Kanan in there somewhere. Otherwise you want to use it less and maybe it’s not worth it so much.

We used to have 4Ks w/ Proton Bombs+Barrage Rockets+ Sabine, and that was an awesome list. 270 arc coverage at long range, 4 medium bases for blocking at short range, then you lay out a cluster of 4 bombs at a time to make it very difficult for the opponent to not get caught by at least 1, and with Sabine getting caught by 1 bomb usually meant getting caught by multiple.

Now we've been gifted with Concussion Bombs at the ludicrous price of 3 points, which means a Warden w/ Concussions+Barrage Rockets is 49 points, so you can have 4 of those with Sabine, who is amazing for her ability to tractor and ion ships into additional bomb hits. Concussions are just better for this list in almost every way, since they deal damage under shields which shores up several of quad Ks bad matchups which was beef lists and A-Wings, and the other bad matchup, regen Jedi, are no longer near as common as they were when they first came out. And the strain from the concussions is welcome when they are firing 2 dice primaries on the turn after the bombs go off. You just have to practice setting up bomb traps that don't end with Ks flying behind each other.

Honestly it kind of reminds me of the Arquitens "Conga Line" they have in Armada. Good broadside ships really enjoy just lining up and running around concentrating fire out the side. I wonder how that would fly in an Aggressor, Laat, K-Wing, or Y-Wing list if you can get enough of them.

For the K-Wings it would have to be a no-bomb list that doesn't want to slam, or you could do a wall of bombs and then all turn 90° and reload so you can stop the drop and just kite for a bit. Hmmm...

Ackbar congaline in X-Wing is called a Howlswarm or Sinker swarm. It's not the side arcs that make that strategy work, it's the unlimited force multiplier being applied to the maximum number of friendly ships that can fit in a list and having them all be able to fire together in the same round.

I don’t think MMP are the right answer for the moment, especially when competing with Barrage. There’s to much arc overlap for what you are paying for. In this swarm meta anyway, you probably want to run Diamond Boron missiles on at least 1 ship anyway, so it should probably go on the K.

Ordnance aside, I think rebels need better, cheap crew to really make the K-wing shine. Something like Cody or Wolfpack would be a nice addition, trade off risk for reward. Out of current options (within the 0-4 point range) K-wings want.... Lando? Maybe Zeb? Certainly not Baze, Hera, Jyn, or Chopper. Maybe Chewbacca or Novice technician, but usually getting shot up on focus fire means you may not be able to make use of those.

I will say Ezra/Maul has potential to do work riding with Miranda, but it’s a lot of points.

I said Arquitens. That's imperial. No Ackbar. Still fun.

Maybe not as good but still something that's been used.

Honestly I think a double-gunner would be totally thematically appropriate, and there's precedent for it in all other ball-turret ships (LAAT, MG-100). Double gunner lets you run:

Han/Hotshot

VTG/Hotshot (on Miranda!)

Suppressive/Hotshot

VTG/Suppressive

Ezra/Bistan

Bistan/Agile (on Esege!)

None of these are strictly good since most generic gunners are a tad overpriced. Some of them might be a little promising. Han/Hotshot seems especially nice, but double-arcing is crazy hard.
