AMM, Upgrade Updates III
Tbh I don't think that many cards will be changed. Only some of the older problematic ones.
Probably a missed opportunity, but my money is on that.
ECM being a discard effect would be nice, however I can see the reason behind the cancel accuracy effect too. Also, it would be along the lines of new mechanisms that it needs an engineer token to ready the card.
As for Squall, I think it really telegraphs your intention so if you get caught turn 1, it's really a mistake on the opponent's side. A point increase however would be justified as it is very popular in competetive builds. 1 thing to note, that it will also be affected by the ace cap I believe and it might be enough in itself to keep it in control.
I agree on madine, although both a cost reduction and a bunch of free navs seems excessive, but im not sure if thats because its so drastically better or if thats what it would take to get the card from fun to competitive. I feel like probably its excessive.

I have a feeling too that this will be the case. Perhaps even more so, the only changes they might make will be to add in the errata from the FAQ.
I really hope that is not the case. Like this article says, there are some really egregious cards and some plain awful cards, all of which could do with tweaking to make a more interesting card choice.

I suspect quite a few cards will be affected by the new mechanic where you have to spend a token to refresh the card. ECM is a very likely candidate for that. It’s a perfect way to make it more than an exhaust, but less than a discard.
I could see ACM’s, APT’s, HIE’s, and Gunnery Teams getting similar treatments as well.
