My thought, as well. But it give some time to consider actually doing it. Also, you don't need to worry about all of the Galaxies stuff going on right now. The Epic Tourney that recently happened I opted out of because I was gong to be playing in all the Galaxies tourneys.

I love playing Epic. However, I cannot commit to playing multiple rounds in the same day in an awkward time zone.

Particularly not on Feb 14. Some of us have a spouse who would be seriously aggrieved if Feb 14 were to be booked up.

It's one round each week.

I think you really need to present your events with all the important information upfront.

Rules. How many huge ships? How many non-huge? The best rules I've played at 500pts restricted the number of non-huges to a max of 8 per huge ship, with no limit apart from the 500 on the huge.

1 game per week is much more doable than multiple in one day, or even over a weekend.

Is there an entry fee? Is it restricted to any particular time zone? Could it have separate Euro/US/Aus/etc conferences to help with the scheduling issues?

Huge ships got a pretty major discount, so It evens out imo

Alright, for those of you looking for no-frills, full details, here they are:

Starting date: November 14

Rounds: once per week, scheduled with your opponent. 3-5 rounds based on participant numbers

Format: Epic (all cards/ships legal, including huge ships and epic-only upgrades. 500 points per player. 4 obstacles per player. 2 hours and 30 minutes per round.

Entry fee: 10$

Prizes: depends upon participant numbers, but there will be participation prizes and champion prizes, as well as a custom animation of the winning list.
