Did they seriously give Chief his old armor but replace the Pelican?
Pretty certain that is a Phantom.

After reading this post, I came up with an idea:
This new TIE is the perfect candidate for a ruthless squad.
- Enough hit points to get a few shots before dying
- It will not be that costly (I guess 34 or 35 points to do not have 6 of them in a squad)
- It can block really effectively (good maneuvers AND medium base)
- Unlike the reaper, it's far easier to predict their next maneuver, and easier to set their next. And the reaper goes simply too fast IMO
Bring Sabacc with ruthless and fifth brother, and you do a TON of damage with double mods for 90 points (±1-2 points). It gives you 110 points to have something interesting more, and you already have a blocker and a glass cannon. Predator Soontir and Grand Inquisitor can make a good fill (for examples).
I will get 2 of them

Craig in progress. End of October when.

You will not be satisfied, this one has been altered from a small base. Better wait for the tru model with the medium size base
Countdown to Craig!!!
Get hype.
Say @MasterShake2 you had the Fezzik, right? What's in the quickbuilds?

Didn't get the fatty, don't play Empire. I could tell you the quickbuilds on Heralds of Hope.

Ah, from the Crayts thread, it kinda read like you had both, my bad.
I think I'm good about the HoH QBs, since we have a rough sense of what T70 and RZ2 cost, but thanks.

I KNEW IT !!!!!!
But.... it's less cheaper if you add configs
. Still if I want a bumper, I take the 34 points model
So, with this points, I would probably get 2 and call it a day. Can't imagine fielding 3 of these. Or am I missing something?

Vader + 3 or RAC + 3 is pretty fun.
But yea 2 seems about right to start.
I like the idea of two very much, but there are oh so many things I need to buy in the near future. One will do for me I guess. It was supposed to be none....
So zoomy strain factory or fat, side-eye Howlrunner it is .
So like...we're happy with the points. Right?

Yeah, I guess. I kinda wish maneuver assist was a bit cheaper, but the rest seems OK.

Yep definitely.
Points thoughts:
All just super minor nit picks though.
Overall I am for sure happy with the costs in total for the builds I am interested in.
The totals worked out to basically exactly what I proxy tested pre-release.
These things are solid, not going to take the meta by storm, but still I think well designed.
Glad to have a chonk arc/b-wing/bonk tank to mix into Empire lists.
Kudos to FFG for making another ship I didn't know I wanted.

This is
such
a
fine ship
that it makes me want to get into The Empire all on its own.
Let me tell you, that is
not an easy feat. Not at all.

I'm using this on B-Wings with Passive Sensors. One or Two cheap B-Wings with an Ace or two.
Edited by Bravo Nullto me 40 points for a tie/rb initiative1 with synch cannon seems a little bit expensive compared to a b wing initiative 2 at 42....
probably ffg started cautiously pricing this ship.
we will see if rb will need a price drop or not...

I think the big draw is that you can fire a 3 dice shot out the back, which makes it worth the points.
My Sad Face is I feel a bit underwhelmed. I was wanting to fly them plain just like the sf mini boba style.....
the SF is 32 and IMHO nearly better in every way.
but don’t get me wrong: excited!
I think they're best suited for a change-up in an imperial squad, as a blocker or support or debuff ship, so being a few extra points isn't a big deal, as you're not taking a bunch of them. This opinion is based on zero times playing them, so ymmv.

The base costs on the i1s definitely made me do a double take. But then I saw sync and aimbots costs and it made sense to me. I think they really wanted players to have an incentive bring those things on them. As opposed to SFs where Gunner is still so expensive it basically never is worthwhile to equip it outside of LeFrance and Quickdraw.
40 pts for just sync or 43 with aimbot is very reasonable in my opinion.
Ultimately the Tie Brutes biggest problem is that force aces within the faction are still to cheap to justify using it outside of personal preference and possibly lyttan builds unless your in hyper (in which case 5th and 7th raise similar comparisons). Once again thats not a point problem with the brute, its a point problem with spam aces. Genuinely wish one of the two or both 5th & 7th was banned from Hyperspace.

Same team.

I super appreciate the sentiment. I thought 7th Sis was a bargain when I used to fly her at 46pt, my opponents often thought so too.
But, and given massively limited data, I had a peruse of list fortress, for not much more data.... adding that to my own experience, I'm just not seeing them perform in Hyper. Admittedly, this is largely because hardly anyone seems to bring them. I have not seen them first hand at all.
They featured in 2 lists at Mustafar. With 1 win between them.
I love a v1, if lockdown wasn't about to happen again here, there's a possibility I'd have taken them sooner or later and formed my own opinion. I've just been flying Scum and Reps instead, for my own reasons. Have you seen them as a problem where you are?
I know they're good ships and I find their absence a bit odd. Squad balance maybe?
Is it simply that cheap force bucks the Hyperspace ideal? I do appreciate that view..
