First.. apparently, not to halloween, and and I vehemently refuse this craig nonsense. I maintain it should be the TIE Fezzik.

Hyped that empire is finally getting a rebel ship.

It was the only faction left that didn't do rebel beef better than rebels

(Note: I am genuinely interested in this ship, I think it's got some cool mechanics and flys like my favorite rebels of old

This is actually so sad 😞 Just wait till Resistance will get the B-Wings (they appear in RoS) and then you can just abandon Rebels altogether. Ah well, those are dark times indeed :(

I mean.. its not THAT funny that some Halo gamer called a gorilla "Craig"? I must be boring, but I cannot see anything funny about that.

Ooo watch out guys, we got a INTELLECTUAL over here.

This is the same person who comments on old music videos with "back when ARTISTS made MUSIC and didn't just MUMBLE"

Lets keep the tone civil there, why don't we?

I mean, that's it? I was hoping it'd be something more interesting than that.

Heh. Methinks many crazy "viral" memes have sprung from less. ;)

No, I mean seriously, can you break down the actual funny thing in this to me?

Musical preferences have nothing to do with it. I would get it if there was more to it than calling a gorilla by some guy´´ s name.

I think the actual funny part of it is pretty specific to being a part of the HALO fandom. Within our context, it's got something to do with the TIE Brute and I'll admit I've lost track of whatever @Boom Owl is up to these days. Probably hiding in a fort.

I believe deciding whether a particular meme is actually funny is a very personal thing. A great many popular ones go right over my head, but I'm probably not in the right demographic for them.

I also believe that once a given meme "goes viral" it becomes almost self-referential; the humor is borrowed from its popularity. The Craig one is amusing to me because it's so off-kilter, and I can also appreciate how the "brute" tie-in works (as well as the one I like even better: Fezzik—because a motion to invoke a Princess Bride reference is always in order). I know what Halo is, but don't own a gaming console and would never play it if I did.

I've personally found that, in the realm of memes, if I don't get a particular one it's best just to let it go over my head and move on (or ask my 30-something-year-old kids). 😎🍺

Because I don't have 30-something kids, my kids are 30-somethings. Heh.

TIE/rb

*Tom Riddle anagram wand wiggle*

brI/TE

Huh. Looks not like "brute" as you'd expect a proper designation, but a clunky version thereof. Representative of both Craig in Halo: Infinite and of the TIE/rb bumbling about.

Is craig brrrrrt?
