So I keep circling back to 4 ship rebels when I go to build with them, the points just count so nicely, but I need some advice from people that have been playing more recently.

The idea is have Thane and jake threaten fully modded 5 dice on one side, while the b-wings are both super accurate and durable anvils that can't be ignored either.

However, if I strip away the hull upgrades and toys on the X, it could be Luke instead. Changing the 1/2 points threshold on both B's seems great, but independent fully modded red dice allowing jake to help the B's also sounds awesome. Which do you guys prefer?

You could fly Braylen, Ten, Garven and Dutch. Braylen and Ten do their thing while Garven and Dutch fly together to mod each other.

  • Braylen Stramm
  • Ten Numb: B-Foils
  • Garven Dreis: X-Foils
  • Dutch Vander: Ion Turret, R3 Astro, Seismic Charges

It has more mods, a bit of board control and area denial in Dutch. Garven hurts as much as Thane does. And well, B-Wings are this massive anvil, against which you can crush your enemies.

I have also flown a XYAB squad, with Jake and Ten, where Dutch had Proton Torpedoes. Idea was to have a superior Alpha Strike. Sadly Predator is not in Hyperspace, which is what kept Jake from having double mods. But Ten could double tap with Autoblasters.
