So, anyone want to talk about the big scientific discussion of the day?

It's really interesting. But I'm still assuming that there's a non-biological process that can create phosphine that we just aren't yet aware of.

Not saying it wouldn't be an incredible finding to find life outside Earth, because it absolutely would be, but I'm skeptical.

Yeah, I think the big take away is just how much we still have to learn about the workings of our own solar system. There's an awful lot for us to discover and understand out there. But it's cool to see something like this hitting the headlines for a change.

2020 would be the year for aliens.

It would be fascinating to discover some form of life on Venus. It would have to be so radically different from what we know in order to survive on that planet. Of course the chances of that being the case are exceedingly slim, but it's still an interesting notion to say the least.

If there could be life there I wonder what shape it might take. Maybe just microscopic organisms, perhaps larger more complex creatures like we get here, or perhaps something so outside of our frame of reference that we don't immediately recognize it as alive. There's apparently a moon around Jupiter that has liquid oceans trapped under a thick layer of ice. Some scientists think there's a possibility, however remote, of finding microscopic organisms down at the bottom, assuming the planet has thermal vents at the bottom of those oceans like there are here on Earth. Probably not something most of us will get to see tested in our lifetimes, but still these are fun thought experiments.

Old news. We've been aware of women for a while now.

Maybe it really is biological. I still find myself skeptical but more I read on this, the more I'm a bit hyped about the potential.

People act like life is the only source. It really isn’t. Could be tech from some Von Neumann probes watching us at a distance.
