Agreed. My first impression is that the marine at the front looked fat.

Seriously, developers, hear the cries of woe on the forae concerning the front cover for the book... it's by no means on par with the other books, which is a shame for what will be the apotheosis of the 40K RPG.

I am not sure, but i guess that they will put in the " utilities " of the game. They had done the same with the others Wh40K RPGs!

It is happening in the UK - I know my local store (Eclectic Games, Reading, Berkshire) is running events for Free RPG Day on Saturday. There's a list of participating stores here . UK stores are at the bottom of the list.

**** and double **** my nearest is over 3and a half hours away oh why are all military camps in the middle of no where, suppose will have to wait for it to come out in pdf before i can get a play:)

Any word on when there will be a PDF release? Some of us were stranded far, far from our game stores.
I'm a sad acolyte. I keep checking back here in hopes that I'll see news of a pending release for the pdf.

So... someone is selling five copies of a booklet that's clearly marked on the back cover as "Free" and "Not for Resale"...
I don't see that he should actually be allowed to put up the booklet up for sale.

Hopefully their uppance will come! Given they're listing it as "new and unopened" I wonder if it's some schmuck who works at a store somewhere who snagged some copies. Or something along those lines...

It is sad but unfortunately eBay allows that.
I hope that he/she will finish eating his/her copies because he/she couldn't sell them....

Hear! Hear! It's a sad sad world when people start hoarding free material for resale... Well we could always report him to ebay... if they get a few dozen complaints I'm sure they'll have a look. ^^

At least it's cheaper than the ebay auction, but you have to pay the shipping cost.
Maybe for some of you it will be of any use.
By my side, i don't know if i would be able to find one copy here in Spain, (only two shops are in the list of retailers, and so much people is waiting for it). So I will wait until FFG put the pdf in the Support Section.
I hope that it will be soon. I can't wait!!!!

Much better than ebay, I might have to put in for it. Heck, who am I fooling, the card is out and it's getting ordered now. $2.96 isn't too bad.
Of course you could just wait a bit for the download version....
In my mind, I feel I have been waiting...although only a day and a half has passed since Free RPG Day. In the absence of any assurance of when it might be available for download, I want this in my hands more drastically than I might otherwise. After all, it's easier to get friends to play it when there is a buzz about it in the community than when you have to sell them on the concept. I have trouble enough getting them to make characters for Dark Heresy.
Again, it would have been nice to hear some assurances like, "and for those unable to participate in Free RPG day, a downloadable pdf will be available [date here]."
That is a gamer's life, or lack thereof.
