HELP! I can't any WFRP 3.0 groups or players in Kansas City area!!!

By scifiguy, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I am an old school (Version 1.0) WFRP gamer looking to dive into the new third edition version with a group.
I just purchased the basic set (and some add-ons), and now looking for a group in the KC metro area I can join. My best gaming night choices would be Wednesdays or Thursdays (my band usually gigs and practices on the weekends, so those days are out just due to the fluctuating schedule) Beginners, old veteran gamers, doesn't matter to me, I'd just like to get in a group that is fun and enjoys the game.
Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]

I'm also open to games of Descent or Runebound...

like music? check out the band at www.marygoesroundkc.com

my buddy is an old school gamer in KC....I'll email your plight to him

thanks! Looking for a group that jut wants to play and have fun with the game

Try hitting up some of the local D&D groups, I have found that for the most part D&D guys are always willing to try out some new games once in awhile, and if it is enjoyable then you may get some new players.

friends of mine are playing D&D 4th, but don't want to switch. Anther group I used to play with doesn't like WFRP 3.0 because combat is not "tactical enough". The search goes on...

4e D&D is both good and bad in a way... the combat is very tactical, and I actually enjoy it, but more like a tactical mini game. I am not able to get into playing 4e as a role playing game because the combat is just too much now, not like it was when I started playing back in the early 80's.

I think WFRP really suits my needs better because it is more of a role playing game than D&D currently is.

I did notice someone posted something on Board Game Geek about how they incorporated minis and the grid map into WFRP for his group and it worked well, you may want to try something like that to help get some of your D&D guys to at least give it a shot.
