Just went 3-0 at a second tournament in two weeks.

Not a lot of data here, but three solid wins.

This build looks innocuous, but can hit like a truck.

awesome. what lists did u face?

Round 1: Vader, Fel and Vyndar

Round 2: Chopper, Lothal and Jan Ors

Round 3: Fel, Omicron w/Sloane, Scarif w/Death troopers, two Academies (I actually had to break out more stress tokens in this one, as I killed the shuttle last.) :D

For any scum player I'd really recommend trying this list. It is really a lot of fun, and is proving to be surprisingly effective.

I haven't run it against any big swarm yet, so it might have problems against those.

But four, three dice attacks (assuming Kavil is using his dorsal) works fairly well.

Oh god, I love it. I can think of literally nothing wrong with it and so much right.

i actually really like sunny bounder w autoblaster. nimble ship that hits hard in close. Seevor's disruption is great and he weakens a defender for the Shadowhunter to hit with tractor who then weakens the target even more for zealots and sunny. iv tried the torkil variant and its strong also.

@Greedo_Sharpshooter

I like it, except its all low inits with not Torkil to bring Vader and the ilk down to size.

His strength in the list is that control more than his punch or hp.

I think you could have a nasty four ship if you brought Torkil back in with that Lancer and Seevor and worked it from there. (Cough* scum Han)

I like it.

I think the Shadowport Hunter looks worthwhile, and I'm not sure I'd cut a Fang for Torkil, but Torkil would be nice.

Oh ye of little faith!

I think 5 ships pushes you over the boundary of caring about initiative at times. 4 is a different animal and kind of always cares.

I mean, I wouldn't want to be in any one of those arcs. If Mr Vader wants to take one off the table, he'll have the job of choosing which of the others he'd like to be sitting in while he's doing it :D

Looks fun and janky. I'll agree that Torkil is probably better than the shadowport, but I do like the list synergies.

Also agreed that sunny /w autoblaster is a nice little hitter for the points.

Yeah, I don't like lone Recruits unless they're on a Swarm Tactics chain. 2 is nice.

FWIW I printed this one to go into my binder, and I'm psyched I have all the hardware to field it. Just talked to my local source for things X-Wing (two brothers who run the brew pub I used to play live music at before COVID. They're trying to start a part-time game store on the side) and they have high hopes for maybe getting some games going in the not-too-far future. I'm pinning my hopes for the start of a local scene on their efforts. This is the kind of monstrosity I'd like to bring.

One thing, it wouldn't be better, just different. Zuckuss crew on the Lancer. Never got round to trying it properly, but have always wanted to.

With the Lancer being a clear target, those long blues to disengage can come in really handy. The 5k is awesome, but you don't necessarily need to pop it asap in order to maintain pressure, with 4 other ships.

Zuckuss can be pretty mean if the target has no focus mod, thanks to Seevor and all the block potential. Might help the tractor land more regularly than 4-LOM.... unless you're facing multiple green tokens.

But ofc, you can easily afford to just 5k straight away and keep piling in :D

Nice. I also like the HWK quite a bit (Scum version) but I'm psyched to see fun stuff for the Lancer to do.

Came up with this pretty similar squad here with a few minor tweeks... lose engine upgrade and swap sunny for a cartel spacer and swap one z recruit for a generic starviper

Any list without Cheerleader is a hard pass for me--she's just, MAGIC.

Just my two credits but not fond of the Shadowport Hunter for a few reasons---the big base, the dial that has it overextend past quality engagements, it can easily shed threshold points in a blink of an eye. Torkil's ability is crucial to dealing with other lists in the meta. Even Spamtex can lose a ship a round if it is flown right, setting up blocks with average dice.

The litmus is opponent target priority---in the list with Torkil, every choice except potentially Sunny can wind up being a bad choice. Waste an attack on a 30 point Seevor just to drain the charge? Feels bad. Waste 2-3 shots on a Moldy Crow three focus tokened Torkil and maybe do 3 damage? Feels bad. Shoot at two zealots up in your grill only to be Concordia'd? Feels bad. Shooting at Sunny, who really does nothing to drain the list if you destroy her, but can hit you embarrassingly hard with Autoblasters depending on positioning? Feels bad.

That's Scum 101, right there that is.

My experience says you'll get way more bang for your buck out of Zuckuss. 4-L0M means you really will do an ion maneuver every other time. Zuckuss makes you do a blue every time but 1) his ability is possibly better or at least certainly less situational, and 2) I really like how it leverages the Lancer's blue turns. There are very few crew/ship combos that are screaming to be used as clearly as the Zuckuss Lancer.

I guess your mileage may vary. If you're more concerned about token-stacking aces than force aces 4-L0M might be the better call, but it could easily get your Lancer trapped and blocked or killed.

Can I also just say how obscenely good of a deal most large-base scum generics are right now? Obviously Nom Lumb is better than the Contracted Scout, but other than that the Trandoshan Slaver, Freighter Captain, and Shadowport Hunter are just really cheap for cramming a lot into a list.

I've been tempted to throw Feedback Array on one just because their hp are almost as cheap as they come and that kind of area denial/control is just huge...

I'm late to the party again but that looks like a very solid list. You have some overlap on jamming abilities between seevor and 4-lom, but frankly I don't see that as an issue - it frees you up to use seevor defensively or avoid triggering 4-lom if you don't want ion. You could mess around with swapping sunny for a HLC spacer if you like (since you have a tractor ability to help score bullseye), but it looks great as-is

Tonight was the first time I've flown a lancer, and I've got a question.

Assuming the turret is pointed forward, how many dice does it get at range 1 if it wants the tractor effect?

I'm assuming 2+1, or three.

It seems like the decision would be between three and four attack dice, depending on if you want the tractor effect.

Oh, and this list is ridiculously fun to fly...
