Don't sqaudrons always have to be at close range to shoot anything?

Squads normally have to be distance 1, which is shorter than close range. Major Rhymer extends a squads’ anti-ship range a little bit. It used to be crazy when it extended to medium range.

Two Fold:

At the time, it was Future Proofing, because there were no Imperial squadrons who *had* multiple dice in their Battery Armament. (They have since).

The other reason was he was *originally* "Close/Medium" Range. So the wording made it clear that you could still use your Black Dice (close range) at Medium due to Rhymer.
